Inside the majestic 18th century 4-star Oakland Parks Hotel in Surrey, Mulberry Restaurant offers an innovative British menu with Mediterranean flourishes, with views out across the idyllic countryside.

Carefully selected seasonal ingredients are used to prepare the Mulberry Restaurant menu, with classic dishes like French onion soup with gruyere croutons, and roast venison loin with braised chicory, dauphinoise and juniper jus. Vegetarian recipes include Mediterranean favourites such as wild mushroom and truffle oil risotto, while desserts get creative with bold flavours, as seen with the frangipane and morello cherries tart.

Afternoon tea at Mulberry Restaurant Weybridge serves up a selection of finger sandwiches and cakes, with the stunning lawn terrace being a perfect spot for it in the warmer months. There is also a relaxed lounge bar for a casual drink or some lighter bites.

With a popular Sunday carvery also on offer, Mulbery Restaurant is only 5 minutes' drive from Weybridge Rail Station.

First time at the Oatlands Park hotel. Two big factors and they were I wasn't charged the deal I had reserved, I was charged the hotel price. Secondly, there was nowhere on any website or on my confirmation of my reservation that a service charge would be added to my bill? Afternoon tea also isn't really for children......

We booked in for the Cream Tea on Saturday afternoon as a birthday treat - during which a trio of musicians were playing. The selection of teas was extensive and the ones we chose were lovely. The sandwiches were delicious, cakes and scones excellent. Service attentive, surroundings lovely and the music just the right touch.

Service wasn't great, had to wait 10mins for extra hot water, as my tea had gone cold. I don't think £60 for tea for the was value for money.

There was some confusion over the dietary requirements of 2 people in our group of 8, resulting in 2 people having to wait a long time before receiving sandwiches they could eat. Apart from this it was a very pleasant experience. The quality of the food was good and it was well priced. The location was also very nice and staff were generally attentive.

Overall it was a wonderful experience. I've never been for afternoon tea so it was a 1st for me, and I'll definitely be interested in doing it again. It was beautifully presented, the staff were amazing....friendly, polite, service with a smile and couldn't do enough to make sure your time there was memorable. The selection of tea's are lovely, something for everyone's taste, the food is excellent.......beautiful place to spend an afternoon with friends and family. I would highly recommend it and can't wait to come back.
