Excellent dining experience. This was my third time at the Diall Arch, and
each experience is better than the last. Attentive staff made our visit an enjoyable experience. The bar and restaurant was buzzin. Not surprised!

An historic building surrounded by the greenery of Royal Arsenal Riverside, Dial Arch is a wholly individual Young’s pub and restaurant in London. A chic main dining room, quaint pantry with open fire and al fresco terrace all come together to form this popular south-of-the-river drinking spot.

The Dial Arch food menu comes in many forms. The dining room menu offers up tasty options like the pan fried pheasant breast with port jus and the undeniably British, award-winning Young’s steak and ale pie with honey roasted vegetables and mash. The sandwich menu appeals to diners’ inner child with a fish finger and tartare option, while an individual flat bread menu offers Dingley Dell pulled pork alongside woodland mushroom with caramelised red onion and tarragon.

Sirloin of Riverside beef can be elected for Sunday lunch, while the bar menu features Young’s beer-battered haddock with triple-cooked chips. Bar snacks can be ordered on the massive, umbrella-covered terrace, which is the perfect place to enjoy an award-winning Young’s ale or a glass of carefully selected wine.

Dial Arch in London is a 5-minute walk from Woolwich Pier on the Thames. Closest station is Woolwich Arsenal Tube Station, also a 5-minute walk away.

We really enjoy going to the Dial Arch for meals, either in the pub or the restaurant. As people who love history, we really appreciate that whoever decorated the interiors was sensitive to the former purpose of the building, and has kept an old-fashioned feel as much as possible.

The meals are always beautifully prepared and presented, and the staff are friendly and helpful. Sometimes the kitchen runs out of some dishes by quite early in the evening, and while that is mildly annoying it's probably just due to the popularity of the place - the Dial Arch really is the only good pub/restaurant in the local area.

Our favourite dish recently was the pheasant, which we had about a month ago in the pub. Our daughter loves your children's menu (especially the fish and chips), and adores your ice-cream selection. We also like that you have Aspall's cider (the best in our opinion), and appreciated your staff's recommendation about six months ago that we try the white Rioja from your wine list - it's a lovely wine that we've ordered at least once since.

We find the atmosphere very welcoming, especially for people such as ourselves who are somewhat eccentric in our dress sense. We often arrive at the Dial Arch in full Victorian or steampunk attire. We are always greeted warmly and with a smile, and served in a very polite fashion. In fact, we are treated so well that the Dial Arch has become the first place we think of when we feel like going out for a meal, or when we are returning home after a day out in the city a little too late to do any cooking.

We hope the Dial Arch will be around for many years to come.

Booked on line and then amended the numbers attending. No problem. Food was extremely good, portions were appropriate and pricing was sensible. I had the pheasant which was very good..The building is wonderful, very atmospheric and stylishly decorated. Service was great. All good, no complaints, all 8 diners were happy. Will defiantly come again... Soon

The food and service was poor and well over priced for what you got!!
Such a shame, beautiful building, prime location, clearly not managed very well!!

Ate far too much as the food was yummy (HUGE Yorkshire pudding was quite spectacular)
We ate late in the afternoon and it was a nice unhurried experience. Good place for a celebratory meal with friends/ family.

Had a little lovely lunch with my family, including two young children. We were all made to feel very welcome- great choice for all - I am vegetarian & choose a really tasty pumpkin crumble. The young male waiter was professional, courteous & helpful ( sorry, I should be able to name him) My daughter, whose birthday it was, lives nearby - think this venue will become a family favourite. Thanks
