The pub is lovely inside and out and decorated beautifully. The menu is small but we were told it is all fresh and cooked to order, it was hard to choose what to have as it all sounded lush! I went for the crab and my husband had steak and lobster, which was all lovely and cooked to perfection. There was no sweet menu. The service was great too.

Surprised that the place wasn't fuller for the time we booked but the service was good and attentive, the food was also of a very good quality, the real ales are a good addition, I was a little confused by the bill as the booking form (which I didn't have with me) stated that we had booked 3 courses for £23, we had a few drinks (1 pint, 2 cokes, 2 red wine, 1 lager) but the bill was £103.00, I assume that the 3 courses for £23 had not been allowed for.

Relaxed setting in the countryside, with beautiful collection of mix of wooden furniture and roaring fire. Made to feel very welcome and never rushed. The food was absolutely gorgeous and I would recommend the warm goats cheese salad and monkfish plus dessert was heavenly, we indulged ourselves with sticky toffee pudding.
We would definitely go again as the menu as whole was lovely, well structured and the right amount of choice plus I want to try the lamb.
The staff working on Saturday were friendly and always willing to help, however we had to ask for the wine menu and weren't offered water for the table.
We couldn't understand why on a Saturday night the restaurant wasn't very busy, when the food is fantastic.
