Excellent, except for the dessert menu. I have commented several times before that I would like a lighter, fruity option. Also a simple ice cream. The Assheton Arms on Good Friday had a better desserts menu.

I visit this restaurant often, it's always excellent. Yesterday I think they was short staffed, that's the only explanation for my beef being very very well done and not cooked threw like I asked . Not up to usual standereds

Disappointed in the service. Nobody came to ask what we wanted to drink when we arrived. My friend had the satay, but the spices on it were most unpleasant and very strong.

    Absolutely cracking meals.
I have been a couple of times with different people - not one had anything negative to say at all.
    It was a lovely experience.
Your staff are a credit to you.

The service we received by our waitress was excellent. The food was also excellent and would certainly recommend a visit to my friends and family.

A very nice place located in a nice part of the country with a good menu and well prepared food. The overall standards are excellent for service as well as food and drink. Well worth a visit to try out and ideal to treat or surprise a loved one or someone special.

The restaurant was very, very busy when we arrived, but a member of staff immediately spoke to us to ask our name and time of booking. We obtained drinks from the bar quickly. We we shown to our table within 10 minutes, there were 4 in our party. The server was excellent and her description of the specials showed an outstanding knowledge of ingredients and preparation. Service of the food was prompt and efficient. Accompanying wines were delivered promptly. Every dish was excellent with attention to detail of presentation. Portion sizes were appropriate. Overall an execellt meal for all members of the party.
The restaurant decor was attractive and the table size generous. Tables were not too close together. There was occasional loud, raucous noise from a party at a table in the opposite corner. I think if we had been sat next to them it would have had a negative impact on the dining experience.
The only other downside was that there was no toilet paper in one of the ladies toilets. Quite unacceptable really, especially as there was space for an enormous rolI in a locked compartment, surely this should have been checked prior to the evening service. I spoke to a member of the bar staff about it.

Easy to book. The service was great, nothing was too much trouble. The food was amazing. Four of the party had seafood dishes and each dish was excellent. Tasty in their own way, we really couldn't choose a favourite dish as they were all delicious!!
Could not fault it in any way. Would totally recommend this restaurant.
