The overall experience was shocking. When we turned up for a booking of 4 people, there was only a table of 3 in the doorway. We were then offered a table ( a cube stool thing) in the bar, with a dk and strobe lights!! When we then asked if we could please be seated at a table for dinner we were seated in a closed down area of the restaurant.. After this we put on our orders, drinks were ordered and food. The starters came. An hour later..still no main course. After finally getting up and asking, it seems the waiter had left work and not told any other staff we were there. Our food had been sat and we have been forgotten about.
We were then offered a drink to make up for this.
When we went to pay, the lady on the counter felt bad and discounted us £23 ( the bill was sill £140...I did not think this was suitable at all!' We should not have had to pay). To make things worse, the manager went mental at the poor girl on the toll for giving us any money off and stood, glared and twisted a receipt on anger as she evil eyed her member of staff.

It was an absoloutely awful experience. We live close by and have dined here before. I have also eaten at the Fulham and Bermondsey locations. I will not be dining here again.

Unfortunately the whole evening wasn't great. There were only two waiters serving and as sweet as they were, they were very slow. Our selection of mezes arrived over an hour later. The only two hot dishes were cold. The bread came rock hard. The surprise birthday cake that we arranged was anything but. When the meze plates were being cleared rather than ask one of us discretely the waiter announced to the table "shall I bring the cake out now?" Dissappointing.

It was my birthday and got a huge fruity cake dessert for free! They forgot our Bloody Marys we ordered to drink before we wanted to eat. But in the end we were offered one dessert wine and a Daiquiri, again for free, before we left. Their Tajine is great. Highly recommend this place!!! Go today!!!

We have been to Del Aziz twice now but I'm not sure we'd rush back. The chap that took our order was sweet enough, polite and charming, but service was very slow. The place wasn't hugely busy yet we waited ages for our drinks, then ages for our food! The food was just OK. Personally, I expected more flavour, more spice. The atmosphere started off quite buzzy, but once the DJ relocated to the bar downstairs, there was only chilled out 'spa' music. It was a Saturday night... I find Del Aziz prices a little expensive, considering the poor service and just about satisfactory food, but the location in Clapham is very good and the décor is pleasant.

Terrible experience. Cocktails took absolutely ages to make. With utmost respect, the waiters who were all very lovely, English was very limited so they didn't understand us for a lot of the evening which made things very difficult. I specifically requested not chips and instead to have a salad with my steak, instead I got a flat bit of garnish and technically I paid £28 for just a piece of meat and a sauce. The food was average. Waiter service again, very very slow, waiting ages for drinks. No lobster cutlery was given and we then asked for it half way through the meal. Desserts were a disaster. Brownie was ROCK hard and old. There was a hair in another and the cake smelled very bad. The manager agreed to take these off the bill which I though was rubbish because they weren't eaten anyway!! Not to mention that I booked this for a special occasion over a month ago and they had a private function on in the nightclub downstairs, I feel that they should have disclosed this to us at some point as this was one of the reasons for choosing this venue. Awful experience unfortunately. Waste of £200.

The food was delicious. The service incredibly confusing. The waiters were incredibly friendly and wanted to be helpful, but no one seemed to know anything about the menu, the restaurant or even what quite common drinks were (such as what a 'rose' meant). The 3 course deal we had booked was initially not recognized, but they did honor the booking and created a temporary menu for us to use. All in all a very confusing experience, and while the food was lovely I won't be going back anytime soon. There needs to be at least one waiter or front of house who has worked there for more than a week and knows the very basics of what they serve.
