Set on the Royal Mile, a stone’s throw from the Scottish National Gallery & Edinburgh Castle, Deacon Brodies Tavern is a traditional pub serving well-loved British classics in a welcoming environment. It is named after William Brodie, one of the inspirations for R.L. Stevenson’s Jekyll & Hyde.
With Nicholson’s pubs first established in 1873, the fleet has become synonymous with warm hospitality, hearty pub food and a speciality stock of ales. Constantly-featuring recipes are bolstered by a seasonally-changing range of specials on the Nicholson’s menu, with favourites including home-breaded chicken Kiev, or a sharing cottage pie. Also enjoy old-school desserts and nourishing breakfasts.
At the Nicholson’s bar, expect to find 25 guest ales changing with the seasons, a resident cask master, and carefully-matched ale and food pairing suggestions. Compiled with equal care, the Deacon Brodies drinks list features easy drinking wines, artisan soft drinks and classic cocktail mixes.
Deacon Brodies Tavern in Edinburgh is a 9-minute walk from Waverley Rail Station.
