OK. Lost our server Galway through the afternoon tea.

The waiting time between meals was far far too long - eg.. 40 minutes between mains and dessert. In addition my main meal of tuna nicoise was not good at all, the tuna was cooked to death (really overdone), the eggs were also very hard boiled and the tomatoes were not ripe - left 90% of it.

The service was very slow. We ordered a tea a hot chocolate and a cake. The drinks came first and when we had them drank the cake still didnt arrive so we choose to get the bill instead. The waitress did apologise for the delay and offered us the cake for free but we declined. I understand places can be busy sometimes so i wouldnt get too upset over it. Ive eaten in worse spots

The location is stunning. We chose the set menu for lunch and were extremely disappointed: very small portions of mediocre unimaginative food. Having chosen fish for starter and main, the two were made with the same tomato sauce. Three small prawns for starter, a tasteless baked pear for dessert with three dots of frozen yoghurt. Extras such as cider and coffee were overpriced, so I ended up paying next to £40 per person for a very poor gastronomic experience. What a shame!

Absolutely wonderful, attentive staff and great food.
If I was looking for an even better experience I would expect the china to all match as we had teacups from a different set. One of the teapot lids was chipped but this was quickly rectified.
