All dishes were delicious.
Three of us ate at the Vauxhall branch and we all enjoyed the dishes that we chose.
One of my friends was particularly pleased that you still do Chase vodka.

Housed in a 200-foot long arch, COUNTER in Vauxhall is London’s longest restaurant. An all-day bar and brasserie, COUNTER brings a touch of Manhattan to south London, serving up American-style dishes and cocktails.

From head chef Mahrez Loukal, the COUNTER restaurant menu fuses his French influence and Turkish roots. Highlights include a classic French tartiflette, a grilled chicken burger with comté and minted yoghurt, and the COUNTER jar, comprising slow-cooked ox cheek and tarbais bean cassoulet . The popular weekend brunch sees classic cocktails joined by spiced avocado on toasted sourdough, and stuffed French toast with strawberries, whipped cream and maple syrup.

A short walk from the river, find COUNTER restaurant and bar London in the heart of this vibrant pocket of south London. Vauxhall bus and train stations are seconds away.

The food was good, but the service and general vibe was unwelcoming. We went for a birthday lunch 12:30 seating on a Friday. Four of us sat in a booth. From the moment we walked in, we were not greeted with smiles and enthusiasm. We had 3-4 different people serving us, so no continuity. It was also a little chilly. I would say great food, but unfriendly staff and not a cosy feel (lunch).

Atmosphere terrific in the evenings - the arches are superbly effective. Staff are appropriately attentive and add to the enjoyment of the evening. Excellent food. The Creme brûlée was a bit too chilled but still tasty. All the rest: superb
We have had very good breakfast and brunch there a few times. We shall definitely be returning for another dinner.

The weekend brunch menu is great - two courses and unlimited prosecco, served by the bottle, was perfect for a peaceful Saturday lunch.
The avocado poached egg on toast is great.

We went for our anniversary as we live close by and had always wanted to check it out. Very impressed with everything! Love the decor and feel of the place. The food was delicious, couldn't fault it, and our Italian waiter was very friendly. Would definitely return.

I rarely do feedback surveys but I had such a lovely visit at Counter!
The staff was so polite and bubbly and the food was really good too.
my boyfriend and I had the weekend brunch deal and we're quite sceptical when it came to the unlimited drinks... but the waiter wasn't shy in bringing over a new glass about every 10/15 minutes who we really appreciated because I'm someone who is very reluctant to have to ask for my glass to be topped up every so often.
All in all - lovely atmosphere and decor, food and staff great too. Will definitely return.

Been here before and the food is great, presentation fantastic. Waitress was perhaps too informal and casual, paying more attention to her ipad then us and leaving the table without saying anything while we were ordering to go and check if the items we wanted were still available.
For the rest she was good, kept bringing us new refreshments every time we finished a glass.

Working in Vauxhall I decided to try Counter for lunch. I had walked past their door very often but never went in, unsure what to expect. Well, I should have gone much earlier. Behind the door lies an Aladdin's cave of a restaurant with old teak floor, antiqued mirrors, marble tables, leather banquettes and enormous lights. All done extremely tastefully.
The service was great. I was seated by a very smiley host who also told me about their lunch special. The waitress, a bubbly English girl, offered me immediately water and asked whether I wanted an aperitif. As I had to go back to work I went with their Lunch Rapide option. Crab and chorizo burger with salad plus a glass of wine. For only £10.
The White wine came quickly, served from a big and fun looking island bar. As it was house wine I was pleasantly surprised by how good it was. A well rounded easy to drink French wine when many places around serve over acidy New World wines as a cheap option. Not here.
My food arrived within 10 minutes and the burger was a great mix of a generous serving of crab and the spice of the chorizo. Really a pleasure to eat.
All in a really great addition to Vauxhall. I will be back with my colleagues for drinks tomorrow evening.
