Since opening in 1992, Cornucopia has become renowned as one of the best restaurants in Madrid for offering creative fusion cuisine. Never closed, even during the holidays, Cornucopia's founders Fernando, Bernardo and television's Kim Manning serve unique dishes combining ingredients and traditions from various countries and cultures. Start with the smoked cod rolls filled with cream of cheese and spinach with roast red pepper sauce, or sautéed langostines with a sauce made from peanut, garlic, brown sugar and soya. Main course options from the menu include the excellent grilled tuna, marinated in soya sauce, sesame seed oil, ginger and orange, and accompanied with couscous and orange salad. There is also grilled sirloin steak with herbs, served with potato purée and cream of mushrooms. Several vegetarian dishes are also available, both a la carte and on the different fixed menus.
