Good food and good service. Found the wine list pricey but overall a good all round experience

The food was very good. Unfortunately the service was appalling. We waited 10-15 mins after being seated for the waiter - we asked for a bottle of wine and he said he'd take our food order first and then sort the wine! When we had finished our meal - having had to get the waiter's attention during that to get another bottle of wine - we were told that the area we were sitting in was going to close for dinner "in about 30 mins" - but we could go to the bar/garden area - no-one came back with our bill or offered to take our drinks through - so in the end we picked up our own wine and glasses and tried to find a table. A waiter then came up to us and accused us of not paying, but then said if we gave a credit card they would let us add our drinks to the bill (but quite rudely). We then found our own table and waited, in vain, to be served. Eventually had to go and get someone to get us a drink.... and the bill at the same time. We ended up asking for the service charge to be taken off. We also ordered some coffee for two of us and only one came and that was cold, that got replaced and we had to ask again for the other one. Not a great experience.

Great venue in the middle of the City. Beautiful garden. One of the best venues in the City on a sunny day! Food is good. Shame about the rather slow service though, it lets the whole experience down a little.. Apart from this, really a great venue

The food was beautiful but the service and cleanliness was terrible.

Not very well. Everything took too long. The mensroom was smelling. The lariesroom and elevator was a mess.

Location is ace! Even though it's in Central London (Bank)... it is a little away from the tourist hot spots. Service is exceptional and the staff cannot do enough for you. Food was extremely good too.

Food was good but the service was awful. I took a client and we had to wait an hour for our table to start, then the waitress forgot our drinks and had to be reminded 3 times before we got any. Had to keep asking for refills of wine after they kept taking it away. We ordered cheese and port, but the port turned up 20 minutes after the cheese. I then had to wait 45 minutes at the bar to settle my bill all while I had a client waiting. Not a good experience at all.

I was fortunate enough to book a lunch table on the hottest day of the year and I am in no doubt that the wonderful weather greatly contributed to the experience. This was a business lunch. The restaurant was an ideal venue offering a simple menu of classic continental dishes in a wonderful outdoor rooftop setting.

We enjoyed a gin and tonic aperitif, moving on to a starter of goats cheese in filo pastry and main courses of seared tuna, and, for me, a meltingly delicious lamb shank.

Desert was a perfect panna cotta.

For a city eatery the bill was reasonable although not of course at the bottom of the price range. The staff were attentive including waiter, sommelier and front of house.

Would recommend equally as a business lunch venue or special occasion

I went for lunch with my husband on a Sunday afternoon. We were greeted in a very welcoming and friendly way by every single member of staff throughout the experience. The meal however was unremarkable verging on disappointing. We are both vegetarian so were limited to only one choice of dish per course. This has changed since our referring to the website as we specifically booked here because there was a fair choice. We however both did not mind the starter of goat's cheese parcel which was perfectly fine. When we came to the main course we only had a croque Madame to go for which we had without han. This was possibly sadly the worst toasted sandwich we've ever had. The bread was mushy, heavy and tasted processed, the whole thing was dense and it was throughly poor. The salad was a tiny bowl of leaves with no dressing to speak of. My husband's dessert of Bavarois Abricot was tasteless and felt pre- made even though it looked nice. While our drinks and service were really nice and the staff brought me some truffles for my birthday with a candle ( very kind of them) the food was really poor. Our bill came to over £100 and for that you expect to be wowed it was one of the poorest main courses I have ever had. I would never have chosen this restaurant had i known.

Very nice dinner with my boyfriend for his birthday. I had the foie gras and my boyfriend the fromage de chèvre, both of them very tasty. For the main we took both of us meats it was delicious.
And the service was really good thank you.
