The Copt Oak in Markfield specialises in slow-cooked rotisserie chicken, classic British dishes and sumptuous desserts. Sample a range of real ales in the cosy restaurant or outside in the attractive garden.

The highlight of The Copt Oak menu is slow-cooked rotisserie chicken prepared on a spit in the main restaurant. Guests can choose from a range of sauces and side dishes, or even add the chicken to their choice of curry. It’s not all chicken however, with build-your-own burgers and flame-grilled steaks adding to the meaty theme, whilst a range of vegetable tarts, curries and pasta dishes offer ample choice for vegetarian diners.

Desserts at The Copt Oak include caramel cappuccino torte, honeycomb sundae and melt in the middle chocolate pudding. Sunday roasts with all the trimmings are also available, as well as a ‘Little Monsters’ menu for children.

Surrounded by Leicestershire countryside, The Copt Oak is close to the M1 motorway and 20 minutes from Leicester.

The booking I made was not forwarded to the Copt Oak!!! This was a huge disappointment. The manageress was willing to accommodate our party of five which was fortunate.
Also the remainder of our Party went to another restaurant in error because they had not read the booking registration correctly. The Staff at the Copt Oak were very patient with our delay. The food was excellent and very good value for money.

The staff were polite, service was good, however of the four main meals ordered two were of poor quality, both these were the beer battered fish and chips, parts of the fish were dry and “chewy”. The sweets were as they should be.
