Having held its Michelin star since 2002, Club Gascon serves dishes inspired by the cuisine of south west France. The revered Evening Standard restaurant critic, Fay Maschler, champions Club Gascon as ‘an absolute gift’.
With a commitment to the highest standards of freshness and authenticity, the Club Gascon menu journeys through complex and ground-breaking flavour combinations. Hailing from Toulouse, Head Chef Pascal Aussignac was named Restaurant Chef of the Year 2013 at the Craft Guild of Chefs Awards.
Encouraging a serendipitous approach to dining, Club Gascon restaurant presents a selection of small dishes, allowing diners to sample an array of flavours. Favourite dishes include sea urchins delicacy, cauliflower & crisps, or crackled capon wings, scallop ballotine, nuts & lovage. Wines are sourced from the finest regions of south west France, and the cellar at Club Gascon near the Barbican compiles over 400 bottles.
Perched next to the produce-haven of Smithfield Market, Club Gascon restaurant in London is housed in the conversion of a former Lyons tea house. Barbican, Farringdon & St Paul’s Stations are all within a 5-minute walk.

Excellent food, superb service. I notified the restaurant that we were both vegetarian and they produced a vegetarian menu especially for us - a very nice and most thoughtful touch. Will certainly be back.

We had the set 3 course lunch menu with matching wines.. On arrival we had a glass of champagne followed by an amuse bouche. There was a selection of breads including sour dough and brioche. Between us we had the entire menu selection. Every course was beautifully executed and presented and consisted of an interesting combination of textures and flavours all excellently cooked. The wine pairings were carefully chosen to complement each individual dish, and I certainly recommend this approach. There was also a pre-desert before the desert, and an excellent selection of petit fours to accompany the coffee. Service throughout was discrete but attentive. The ambience is relaxed and the bar area is dominated by a huge floral display.

The restaurant is superb. I have visited Club Gascon previously and the food is as good as ever. The restaurant was completely full and yet the service was excellent. It is a real treat to dine here.

Fantastic place, with stellar service and incredible food. The tasting menu options looked great, though we opted for a la carte. It was my wife's birthday, and Club Gascon made it extra special. The perfect place fo a special occassion or a special treat.

Dinner experience was amazing. The staff were super helpful and attentive and the food really delivered in terms of presentation and taste. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

A fabulous celebratory meal - we had the tasting menu, one course was wood pigeon - I asked if this could be changed, my request graiously granted. A couteous and interested sommelier and great service. The only course I thought that didn't do too well was a rather experimental desert, and for that I'll give it 4 out of 5 stars.
My only niggle was that we were there on a very cold night in February. Although the restaurant itself was warm; each time the door opened a bitterly cold draft swept the lower part of the room! So if cold outside, wrap up well or ask for a table away from the door. Otherwise, a lovely evening
