An ultra-fashionable hideaway on Manchester’s trendy Deansgate, Cloud 23 serves flashy bespoke cocktails and refined afternoon tea. A slick, penthouse-style setting, surrounding floor-to-ceiling windows frame panoramic views of the city.

Cocktails inspired by the city are served at Cloud 23 Manchester. Sample the subtle spices of a Sally Cinnamon, or the crimson-coloured Vertigo- a refreshing mix of Bombay Sapphire, pomegranate juice and lychee liqueur. An accomplished wine list and fine international beers are also served from the sweeping bar.

Offsetting the cosmopolitan cocktail mixes, Cloud 23 Deansgate presents a quintessentially British selection for afternoon tea. Towering assortments of dainty finger sandwiches, fresh scones and classic cakes like Victoria sponge and rich éclairs make for a crowd-pleasing selection.

In fiercely on-trend surroundings, Cloud 23 bar showcases lavish drapes and soft red lighting, offset by clean lines and a cool granite colour palette. Deansgate Rail Station is 3 minutes’ walk away.

Booked afternoon tea as a treat for my daughter and myself, we had the champagne option for additional cost. The views from the hotel 23 floors up over Manchester were stunning, the restaurant itself was clean and tidy with friendly efficient staff. The afternoon tea was traditional with modern twists, the sandwich fillings were imaginative rather than traditional, a coleslaw wrap and cous cous wrap in particular, they were fine and edible but not to many peoples taste I would suggest. Other than that the food was all very nice and beautifully presented. I think people should be warned that a service charge is added to the bill when paying so our £70 bill became £77. However over all I was very pleased.

Wonderful waiter who made the day thoroughly enjoyable. Lovely food - and a surprise complimentaty cocktail! The view was spectacular and our seats were very comfortable and relaxing.
My only concern is that it was pricey. I had travelled up from London to celebrate my niece's 18th birthday and although we had a wonderful time I'm not sure I'd spend £80+ again. I thought the price quoted was for two people - my error - but I had a bit of a shock at the end!

lovely setting, lovely views but we felt the table set up wasn't right for 4 people on 2 odd shaped different level tables. The smallest table was round and was higher than larger oval table and both were too small for the afternoon tea. However the staff were very attentive and polite. Food on the whole was good but the scone was very solid and dense instead of light and fresh. Drinks expensive. Ambience was buzzing.

Always been one of my favourite places in Manchester to visit. Ok its not the cheapest of places to drink but I tend to go as an every now and then treat.

Being on the 23rd floor of the Hilton Hotel gives you excellent views of Manchester and beyond. But its not too high so that you see nothing.

Its really relaxing just to sit by the window drinking wine watching the daily activities of the city play out before you. The best views are definitely at night when the city comes to life.

The bar serves all the usual drinks you would expect but be prepared to pay that little bit more for it.

Lovely table right near the window laid beautifully for 3. Tea arrived looking lovely and some very nice food - tiny quiche, pastrami and salmon sandwiches, chocolate cube and lemon tart. Hot drinks served well.
However. .... kept waiting downstairs for quite a while, 2 wraps of coleslaw and cous- cousins and unmemorable apple cake were very disappointing :(
Asked for doggy bag for scones as we were full and were given plastic strawberry box with clingfilm- not classy. Staff were efficient and pleasant- thank you. Feel the price is very expensive for the food and drink provided.

drinks and snacks were good, with attentive service

the view was impressive as expected.

a bit cheeky to include service into the bill and then leave a space for a further tip.
