Awarded 3 AA Rosettes, Clos Maggiore – Covent Garden offers inspired, creative French dining at one of the most romantic restaurants in London. A luxurious, intimate dining room is offset by the stylish conservatory, with a fully retractable roof for al fresco dining.

In an oasis of calm in Covent Garden, Clos Maggiore restaurant takes inspiration from the chic country inns of Provence. The sophisticated Clos Maggiore menu offers chargrilled scallops with seaweed tartare to start, and flavoursome mains of honey-glazed duck breast with roasted red plums, or succulent, corn-fed chicken with potato, bacon and cheese gratin.

Following a trend of decadence, Clos Maggiore’s dessert menu offers indulgent treats. A sweet, strawberry gariguette with pistachio mousse is a firm favourite, along with the vanilla and praline vacherin with butterscotch sauce.

In the heart of Theatreland in London, Covent Garden’s Clos Maggiore offers a stylish, plush setting, and is nestled just 3 minutes’ walk from Covent Garden Tube Station. Please note, Clos Maggiore observes a smart casual dress code.

I took my Grandaughter for a pre university treat. The price fixed menus was good, but resented £5 extra for the fish. The lamb shank was very good. Our table was next to the service area, where the door was in constant use,and a major irritant. There was an unoccupied table near the window, which would have made a huge difference! I will not be returning.

We had the fixed menu which we found unlike other restuarants was very varied .Usually the fixed menus dont offer a good choice but the menu here is exceptional.
We did look at the a la carte but found the choice was better on the fixed menu.It is exceptional as the wine is included in the menu.
We usually have the a la carte due to limited choice on the fixed menus but this fixed menu is the best i have seen .

Enjoyed the restaurant but after booking a table for a party of four thru Bookatable, got an email from Clos Maggiore confirming reservation for party of two. Called them immediately and after much discussion they changed the booking to four. Could have been embarrassing as we were entertaining overseas guests who had requested specifically this restaurant and I had already informed them we had a reservation. Will be a bit cautious now when using Bookatable.

Conservatory is a lovely location for lunch. Enjoyed the experience though at the higher price end.

After spending a few days dinning at London's most esteemed restaurants the Clos Maggiore was at the top of them all, i couldn't fault a single thing about what is truly one of the finest restaurants i have ever been to. The wine list was spectacular offering the most fantastic choices all of which are very special. The food was definitively incomparable. Faultless, but do keep an eye on the bill to avoid a shock at the end.

We were only in London for the day for our Wedding Anniversary, so we hadn't got a booking and just chanced on the restaurant. We arrived at 12.10 and were advised we could have a table but we would need to be out for 2.00 p.m. which suited us. The food was beautifully presented. The staff were extremely attentive but not in a pushy way. We had the set menu including wine, which was excellent value. Even though they needed the table at no point did we feel rushed, we actually left the restaurant at around 1.45 p.m. We would most definitely recommend this restaurant and would certainly visit it again.

My wife and I have eaten at lunch and in the evening a number of times. The food and the service have been amazing every time we have eaten there. A truely sublime experience that should be experienced by all.
