    We visited to celebrate my mums birthday. I was pleasantly surprised by how beautiful the setting was and how the staff were very accommodating. We chose to sit outside as it was a nice day and Charlene happily moved our cutlery even though she'd set it up inside. Charlene was very attentive and regularly checked in to see if she could assist us with anything. We will definitely be returning sooner rather than later.

    Disappointing variety of cakes, although would have preferred more sandwiches.
    Tea was luke warm - had to ask for fresh pots.

    me and my friend came here for afternoon tea, we had a lovely time and were looked after well.
    the sandwiches and cakes were delicious and we both loved the variety along with a giant tea pot.
    all staff were lovely and friendly and atmosphere was nice and relaxed.
    will be coming again! thankyou!

    The cakes were so dry we struggled to eat them, the scones were over baked and dry too. I was very disappointed as last time it was beautiful, i had recommended the Hilton garden to my friends and was embarrassed. Won't be visiting again.

    It was very modern and extremely friendly. The cakes were very fresh and tasty. The Tea menu was not very big; I would have liked to see a few more 'flavoured' teas because I don't drink real tea. My only moan would be that service was very slow. We booked for 2.30 and it was 3.10 before we got our food. I had already finished my coffee and my mum and sister had finished their tea and I had to go to the main bar to ask for our bill. But these were only very little niggles. The experience was relaxing and enjoyable. We were also provided with boxes to take our left over cakes home in. If you want a modern Afternoon Tea then I would recommend the Hilton Garden. Thank you for making my mum’s 83rd birthday memorable

    I booked Afternoon tea for myself and a friend as a birthday treat at Hilton garden, brindley place.
    We arrived on time and I walked into the restaurant area and introduced myself and explained I had booked afternoon tea. The staff all looked at me blankly then showed me to a table after I explained. We sat down and the same member of staff came over and gave us a menu asking what we wanted to order. I explained we had booked afternoon tea and asked what it included. The staff member then asked yet again what I'd booked and paid for?! I said again afternoon tea for 2! He then walked off and ordered our tea. We started drinking our tea and were again approached by the same staff member and another asking if I'd booked. I said yes again and gave them my details and showed the booking. The female staff member then asked if and what I'd paid. I said it's a birthday treat of afternon tea for 2!! She then said oh you haven't paid yet. I replied that I knew that as it's was an online booking. 
    At this point I was feeling embarrassed by the confusion and fuss they were making as it was a gift for my friend!
    After our food arrived we were left for a very long time without any attention from staff asking if we wanted anything else or the bill. 1 and half hours later a different male staff member approached us and asked if we were finished. I asked for the bill please. He then said to my friend am I splitting the bill? to which I replied no its a birthday treat so I'm paying. He then put the bill open on the table so my friend could see, I was trying to be disgreet! I then said I'm paying by card. The staff member then came over with the card machine and loudly announced exactly how much the bill was much to my friends embarrassment! The unprofessional and confused staff spoilt a suprise treat and caused many awkward and embarrassing moments, something which I wouldn't expect from a place like the Hilton! We are full time mothers/carers of disabled children on a rare break
