After 25 years in Chelsea, critically acclaimed Chutney Mary brings its exciting brand of Indian cuisine to St James’s Street. Alongside the mix of authentic Indian design and contemporary style in the dining room, The Pukka Bar serves up exotic cocktails, craft beers and a host of artisanal gins.

Beautifully presented dishes include tandoori lobster, duck salad with tamarind glaze, and Hyderabadi lamb shank cooked for 6 hours. Elsewhere on the menu, find flavour-rich Indian street food, and a tasting platter of regional speciality curries.

The Pukka Bar at Chutney Mary St James’s Street features a stone and leather bar, as well as stunning furnishings and bespoke artwork that blend traditional Indian style with contemporary St James’s chic.

My Fiance and I had a glorious evening in Chutney Mary, the restaurants decor is oppulant and sumptuous and the service and food 1st class! The scallops starter was to die for and the tandoori chicken with plum chutney, was the best I have ever eaten, my Fiance had a Lamb dish that was so tender, the meat just fell apart and was so beautifully spiced, like every side dish we had, so beautifully seasoned with spices, the combination of flavours was perfect in every dish. Desserts also gorgeous and the service outstanding, I have a nut allergy and our lovely waiter took us through the menu advising what did and didn't have nuts in and then asked the chef to cook my food away from all other nuts in the kitchen, a really lovely gesture and showed such fantastic attention to detail and customer care, we both loved our food and the staff and the restaurant and will definitely be returning again and again!!! A chic and classy restaurant that delivers outstanding food, service and night out!

Went on a Saturday night for our anniversary. Nice atmosphere and quite buzzy. I would recommend the Mango & Lime Martini. Service was a bit chaotic the waiter took our wine away by mistake. I had Tandoori Seabass for starter and my partner the Tandoori Lamb Chop, both amazing. We decided for the Curry tasting menu but unfortunately we didn't enjoy that much. Would def go back and recommend to friends.
