The meal was good as it is always is at Chowki but although I had booked a table for 8 a week beforehand, Chowki had not actually bothered to reserve a tablefor us all on the night! The waiter made an attempt to push us all off into the main area by the door which we didn't want and weren't prepared to put up with. The booking was there on the screen when we arrived but we had been forgotten about. It was though, a very pleasant evening when we finally settled down where we wanted to be!

We dined at 5.30 pm. We did not like the long tables and stools. It was difficult to relax without a back to the seat and we were glad to leave so that we could get some relief for our backs. It was cold and uncomfortable. The starters came quickly enough and were ok but nothing special. The main meal was well presented but was of poor quality and tasteless. We live in the Leicester area and enjoy Indian Meals on a regular basis. We have since spoken to a friend who also went to Chowki and has concurred with our experience

Early evening on Saturday, but pretty full by the time we left. Excellent quality of food with sensible portion sizes. God service, not pushy.

Dined at 6.30pm with family, friends and children. Lovely choice of meals many of which we had not come across before. Quote from my 14 yo son ... ' This is the best Indian food I have ever had, I wish they would open in Plymouth'.
