Our table was booked for 9pm on New Years Eve and the place was buzzing. We had prebooked the meal and we all enjoyed all the food even though the main courses were a little cold-- but the staff were all extremely busy!

Great: starters were excellent, the tuna and salmon mains were good Not so great: a 'medium rare' steak was hardly cooked at all; we had to wait nearly half an hour before our food order was taken.

Early dinner around 7pm. Restaurant was busy, but service fine and ambience good. Food up to usual standard. Pricey but average for Central London.

Pre-theatre dinner. Mentioned to waiter who made sure we were served in good time, while retaining a nice dining experience.

    Good to meet for lunch

Slow and ignorant service (a diner's food intolerances were clearly specified, but food was incorrectly prepared). Average to poor food, at high price! Good views from table over Covent Garden Market.

Nice steaks and generally good food. The prices are reasonable considering the very popular location. The waiters tried to do their best, although there was no reason why we needed to wait so long between the courses. Reminded us to any European restaurants in that sense: no rush. We will go back. In Covent Garden it is a good place.

The Service at Chez Gerard was the worst I have ever had. There is no way I would ever go back or reccomend it to anyone. They are not fit to run a restaurant.

Lovely venue overlooking Covent Garden with the option to sit outside. We went on a friday evening and had booked our table in advance (which I would recommend as they were turing away lots of people) To sit outside there was an additional 45 minute wait. The venue was very clean, relaxed and sophisticated with a lovely atmosphere. We did have to wait quite a while for our food, but it was a very busy night and we did not really mind. I also had to send my Steak back as I had asked for it medium and it came out quite rare, but the staff were more than accommodating and did this no problems. It was a little more expensive than we would usually pay for a meal, however we felt that it was a nice treat and I would deifnatley recommend to others.
