The food and service were excellent. Some cake was served to a member of our party whose birthday was on the same day. This was accompanied by 4 members of staff playing instruments and singing 'Happy Birthday'. It was very friendly and well done.

Having been there before, I thought it was very good and could't wait to return with my husband and friend. However, we decided to have a drink in the bar whilst waiting for our friend and ordered directly from the bar, we were charged £10 for 2 gins and 1 tonic. On finishing our drinks, a waitress asked if we would like another so we ordered exactly the same as before and on returning with our drinks we were asked for £22.50. When we queried this we got nothing but attitude and told we'd also had wine which was not true! She went back to the bar and came back with another bill in excess of £16 and again we queried this to be told that it depended on what brand of gin we ordered but on ordering we had just asked for 2 gins and a tonic as before and were never offered a choice of gins. My exasperated husband went directly to the bar at this point to sort it out with the barman and was immediately charged £10!
When our friend arrived, we went up to the restaurant and were waited on by very helpful staff and we ordered our meal. As I immensly enjoyed the meal I had on my first visit, I oredered the same which was the spicy seafood udon noodle dish. When it arrived there was 2 mussels, 2 prawns and 2 pieces of squid on the plate, disappointing to say the least. My husband ordered the palm glazed chicken which was completely inedible as the chicken was so dry which left our friend having the only decent meal that night. When our table was being cleared (no one asked why my husband had a full plate) we said that the chicken dish was not edible and this meal was deducted from our bill. I should say at this point that we never send food back to the kitchen and ask for a replacement meal.
I will never be tempted to return and I certainly would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

I have been a few times before and love the restaurant, the food has always been great. I went for the lunch menu this time and was a bit disappointed in the choice and as a result did not relaly enjoy my main meal
