It was the first time I had been here and I would definately go back again the food was lovely and the way it was presented was very nice too. We were too full up at the end and had to take some of our cakes home with us . It was a very nice treat for my birthday .

We had the taster menu which was excellent
High point definitely the duck with coffee and chocolate
The rest good too. If being hyper critical I would say
The cheese desert had slightly too much cheese. The actual cheese cylinders were too much. Maybe cut that out or half it. But the combination of blue cheese and apricot was great
The Macha tea green thing. We both just didn't like it. Maybe that's just us.
The chocolate delice. Could be smaller and have a more intense flavour?

The staff and maître 'd were excellent; friendly, welcoming, helpful and attentive in equal measure. The food was delicious. Cocktails at the bar was also a particular delight.

The food was well prepared - attractive and tastyt. But the surroundings were poor - the restaurant area was scruffy and the waiters were moving tables around, any smokers stood right outside the door so the eating area smelled of smoke, I had to go to the bar to get drinks as I have up waiting for a waiter to notice me - overall a poor dining experience despite the lovely food.

Disappointed they closed the restaurant and bar for a wedding and never informed me directly prior to staying / eating there. I had booked 3 weeks ahead ! We ended up being pushed into the library where only 1 other set of diners joined us. Although tasting menu and wines were lovely I was very disappointed not to have eaten in the restaurant itself. They also rushed our 8 courses out to us which was not good enough.

Lovely afternoon with my 15 year old daughter. It was her first experience of Afternoon Tea. It was a gift from friends and we enjoyed every moment.

Had a wonderful meal last night - the food was beautifully prepared and presented, dishes were very carefully put together with exquisite flavour pairings and not too much so that one could really enjoy the different combinations. Extensive drinks menu too. Would definitely recommend for a high quality night out.
