The flagship restaurant of the spectacular Lanesborough hotel, Céleste offers high-end contemporary fine dining, and was bestowed with a Michelin star in the 2017 Michelin guide. The blissful Venetian-style dining room features a domed glass ceiling, suspended chandeliers and ornate wall carvings.
Michelin-awarded Executive Chef Florian Favario, the protégé of Chef Patron Eric Frechon – who holds five Michelin stars - showcases expertise honed working at one of Paris’s best restaurants, Epicure. Weaving artful flair through the finest available ingredients, the Céleste restaurant menu includes sautéed squid with black ink porridge, native lobster with smoked broccoli purée, or wild roe deer saddle quince confit with cinnamon and celeriac and red wine sauce.
The Lanesborough’s resident dessert and pastry master, Nicolas Rouzaud, presents creations like Guanaja chocolate with caramelised cashew nut praline, chocolate mousse and roasted coffee bean ice cream, or hand-crafted sugar fig, sangria sorbet and fig leaf foam. This fairy tale space also boasts 2 luxurious wine tasting rooms, and afternoon tea at Celeste in London is a multiple-time winner of the UK Tea Council’s Award of Excellence.

Our second visit and pleased to say which enjoyed it as much as the first. The bar, food and surroundings were perfect and again, the service was second to none. Having tried many "top" London restaurants, this has to be up there with the best and the Bookatable offer makes it incredibly good value. The live pianist added greatly to the experience.

We had the 3 courses for 35, which also included amuse bouche and champagne. One of the best value meals I've had! Everything was delicious, and beautifully presented, even to the home-made bread and smoked butter. Service was excellent all evening, and the staff were all friendly and smiling.
Venue is stunning, we didn't want to leave. I will be coming back to try the a la carte!

Sophisticated cooking in a fine dining room. I am not surprised Celeste was awarded a Michelin star last October.

Fantastic service from the moment the front door is opened for you. Polite, friendly and just lovely people work there. I ate the artichoke soup, the cod and finished with the chocolate orange dessert. All delicious.The freshly baked bread and homemade butter
were the stars of the show.

Truly beautiful room – designer really got it right. It would be so nice if all clients made an effort to dress, in the end of the day it’s supposed to be fine dining.
Warm, professional and attentive to every little detail service from the very moment of entry. For example – when I mentioned to the receptionist piano player in the hotel bar, without asking she actually went to find out for me until when he plays. She and the young sommelier who was knowledgeable, helpful and accommodating really stood out for me. They demonstrated that wonderful British service when one makes an extra step above the expectation.
Great menu – just right for a frosty January evening. Cauliflower risotto as a starter was creamy and delicious, game sausage-yummy.
Overall – great experience, look forward to be back, will try to choose a day when piano player is in.
