Disappointing. Steak well cooked but not standout. Side order bland. Poor music. Dinning room felt like a typical sole-less hotel restaurant. Service helpful and friendly.

Very lovely service and a nice surprise as I was celebrating my birthday with my wife.

Three people. Their steaks and dessert superb. My dessert superb. Staff a little aloof.

However, the chef MUST learn how to cook lobster. I have cooked and eaten lobsters for forty years. A lobster takes only a few minutes to cook either on a grill or in an oven or pan. If the lobster sticks to the shell it is OVERDONE. I ordered a full lobster and the flesh was so stuck to the shell it was almost impossible to remove. I complained and a second half-lobster came and it really was not much better. Also the claw flesh was stuck to the shell. This is only caused by one thing - OVERCOOKING. I told the head waiter and he said that the chef said the half-lobster I returned was perfect - CRAP - you are telling some who knows. and it won't wash. Read my lips IF LOBSTER FLESH STICKS TO THE SHELL IT IS OVERCOOKED. The waiter said the second half-lobster was specially undercooked. This is nonsense. It was still stuck, but not as bad, to the shell.

Your chef needs to learn how to cook lobster PDQ and also not to argue with a customer who knows what he is talking about. GET REAL.

The evening, apart from the ignorant chef, was brilliant. I will recommend it but NOT for lobster.

We had the truffle themed tasting menu( truffle in every course including dessert) and the food was excellent. The risotto and the pigeon breast courses were outstanding. There is clearly a very talented team in the kitchen. However the restaurant lacks the right ambience . It is essentially a hotel restaurant and the fine dining experience is marred somewhat when there are families eating burgers and pizza at the next table. They have the space to separate off part of the restaurant, don't understand why they don't do it.

The 2 course/3 course menu was very good and in particular the portion sizes were just right for lunch.

Welcome, table, and service were all very comfortable but I was disappointed by the food - had expected more.
