Service was slow at the beginning but then it improved. Wine selection is excellent and the meat was fantastic.

I had lunch with a friend at the bar in Casa Malevo and thoroughly enjoyed the food, the service and the bustling atmosphere. Definitely the best Argentinean restaurant I've been to in London.

My husband and I had dinner at Casa Malevo last week and my experience was fantastic. We arrived mid evening and the place was bustling - completely full, with people eating and drinking at the bar too. It has a great ambience - low key but and very cool with great lighting and bare brick walls. The food was lovely. We started with the sweetbreads and the goats cheese. The sweetbreads were excellent, the goats cheese very good, served with toasted nuts and beetroot salad. Oh, and they brought round the most divine bread from neighbouring baker, CocoMaya. We then both had the fillet, which melted in the mouth. There were sauces on the table, but the chargrilled taste of the meat meant that it didn't need much adornment. The chips were great. You have to save room for the creme brulee with banana ice-cream or the passion fruit sorbet. Wines were delicious and keenly priced. All in all a very cool place with a great menu. Probably more like 40 people than 20 I think and before I left I caught took a peak at the private dining room downstairs. It looks stunning. I'm definitely going back with a big group so we can book that.

The best Argentine restaurant in town... The meat is superb as is everything else we have tried at this place: the pumpkin and sage ravioli, the Sweetbread starter, and definitely the dulcedeleche creme brulee. Would strongly recommend it - and it's affordable: we always leave FULL and we have not paid more than 45gbp per person. A good sign is the fact that Casa Malevo is always packed with Argentineans unlike the other "wannabees" in town (like overpriced [@]).

The food here is more refined than what you'd expect from an Argentinian restaurant specializing in the ubiquitous beef. The desserts especially so. And the cocktails are great! The service is just right, the ambience is lovely. Wish it was a local.
