Best restaurant I have been to as a veggie. Informal and friendly but absolutely brilliant food at every stage. Every last thing down to the coffee was unique and special. One of the few upper end restaurants I have been to where I came away feeling it was worth every penny.

Awarded a Michelin star in 2015, Carters of Moseley Birmingham has received widespread critical acclaim for its fresh and innovative food. Focusing on light, healthy cooking, seasonal ingredients are brought to life in creative British dishes.
The Carters of Moseley menu is packed with fresh ingredients from local suppliers. Simple but full of flavour and exquisitely presented, dishes include chestnut broth with pheasant dumpling and Wiltshire truffle, Cornish monkfish with leek, white onion and chicken juices, and beef cheek with cauliflower and ale. As well as a classic cheese board, the intriguing warm apple cake with Jersey cream and duck fat caramel is amongst the dessert options.
The restaurant’s interior is simple but sophisticated. Wooden flooring is joined by white walls and leather seating, with modern prints adding a contemporary flourish to the dining room.
In the Moseley area of the city, Carters of Moseley is just a 15-minute drive from Birmingham city centre.

I took my wife for our 2nd wedding anniversary. It was our first time there & we had a fantastic experience. All the staff made us feel at ease & explained the menu & different choices of drinks with each course. We would differently recommend Carters of Moseley to everyone who enjoy dining out. Welcoming and insightful staff, nice atmosphere and superlative food - recommended for vegetarians. Lovely wine list and expertise on its variety. Great to see kitchen at work and so cohesive without evidence of the cliched bullying chef.

Great experience of exceptionally different food cooked by talented and committed owner chef, Brad and his team. Front of house operated by Holly and her crew with an outstanding blend of friendliness, knowledge and professionalism. There are no gimmicks, no offers, just a concentration on the experience of food and drink, with an ever changing variety featuring four, six or eight courses on the tasting menu, a hand picked wine stock and even rather exceptional teas and coffee This young team know exactly what they are doing and you will not be disappointed. You need to book well in advance as the word has already spread around Birmingham that this amiable local couple have something special to offer. Good luck to them - but they don't that - they will do well with their hard work, attention to detail ant talent that is apparent in this small restaurant in the heart of Moseley.
