My daughter and I had the most amazing food experience last night.

Awarded a Michelin star in 2015, Carters of Moseley Birmingham has received widespread critical acclaim for its fresh and innovative food. Focusing on light, healthy cooking, seasonal ingredients are brought to life in creative British dishes.
The Carters of Moseley menu is packed with fresh ingredients from local suppliers. Simple but full of flavour and exquisitely presented, dishes include chestnut broth with pheasant dumpling and Wiltshire truffle, Cornish monkfish with leek, white onion and chicken juices, and beef cheek with cauliflower and ale. As well as a classic cheese board, the intriguing warm apple cake with Jersey cream and duck fat caramel is amongst the dessert options.
The restaurant’s interior is simple but sophisticated. Wooden flooring is joined by white walls and leather seating, with modern prints adding a contemporary flourish to the dining room.
In the Moseley area of the city, Carters of Moseley is just a 15-minute drive from Birmingham city centre.

Favourite dishes were the snacks, partridge and the fig dessert.
The service was wonderful. It was attentive without being intrusive and it was really nice to have the dishes explained.

The service was outstanding and the food was just wonderful. We couldn't believe that we had been there for more than 4 hours, the evening had flown. It's hard to decide on my favourite dish but I think it was either the pheasant dumpling or the sea bass. Thank you for a great evening.

A wonderful experience provided by a young, dynamic and clearly passionate team who love all things food and drink. The decor is lovely and simple with a relaxed intimate environment. The food is equisite and does their Michelin star proud.

The whole experience was brilliant. Service was friendly and when we asked them to slow down with the courses they were only too happy to oblige. We went for the 8 course tasting menu and although there were a couple of courses we weren't sure about the overall effect was excellent. Favourite dishes were the chicken liver cereal, Mayan Gold Mash, Partridge and the Salted Caramel Mousse. We also had the matching wine flight and had some real surprises where the wines changed flavour when taken with the food. We've eaten in most of the Michelin starred restaurants in Birmingham and Carters more than holds it head up, I'd be more than happy to eat here again and would recommend it to anyone who appreciates good food and wine.

The food and service was amazing, nothing too much trouble. The coffee was pure theatre but delicious! This was by far and away the best dining experience I have ever had.

A Truly sublime treat, a perfect eating experience in an informal but really attentive and unobtrusive way .
The team are very knowledgeable and explain about the dishes, all of which were fabulously presented and tasted divine.
Cannot fault it and it's worth having the scientific coffee even if you don't like Coffee, just for the technical theatrical experience of the delivery of a perfect cup.
Best meal I have ever had, go and experience it .

Loved the taster menu and being able to choose courses from the vegetarian menu as well. We loved the snacks which started the meal and our favourite dish was the grains and seeds with kale which was delicious. The desserts were sublime and the chocolate ganache which came with the coffee rounded off an excellent meal. The waiters were very knowledgeable about the food and we were pleased to find that where possible it is locally sourced. The meal was unhurried, the waiters were attentive but not pushy and the whole occasion was a real delight. Thank you!
