Pre theatre visit to this lovely restaurant with friendly, welcoming staff. The food was excellent and I would certainly recommend it and hope to be able to dine there again.

Accessed via a spectacular marble staircase, the St James Brasserie Westminster offers contemporary dining on the first floor of the St James Theatre in Victoria. There is an express menu perfect for theatre goers, as well as a popular bar downstairs.
The St James Brasserie menu offers a select range of classic dishes – steak frites comes with a rich garlic butter, there are vegetarian options like beetroot risotto, and there are a range of burgers with additional toppings available.
Traditional favourites like white chocolate crème brûlée and treacle tart are served on the St James Brasserie dessert menu, while the downstairs bar is a popular spot for wine and cocktails.
Making a perfect spot for theatre goers and outside diners alike, the St James Brasserie London is 5 minutes' walk from Victoria Rail Station.

The simple menu and reasonable price make St James Brasserie ideal for pre-theatre dinner. Staff were friendly and helpful but were stretched to cope when the pre-theatre dining reached its peak.

The food was very good and reasonably priced.
It took some time to place our order and the restaurant needs the facility to provide drinks, rather than going down to the bar to get them.
When we ordered coffee at 19.05 it took 15 minutes for the coffees to arrive, leaving insufficient time to drink them before the performance at 19.30, so we had to transfer the drinks into 'take away' cups.
However, we felt the experience was very good.

Ordered fish and chips. Meal very nicely presented and tasty.

The food was very good, the restaurant was very nicely decorated, the prices very reasonable and the staff very helpful.
The only downside was that our meal took quite a while to be served but the waitress apologised profusely and said it was because they were short staffed in the kitchen. She couldn't apologise more and it would not put me off going back. All in all a very nice place.
