Went for Valentines meals with my GF. This was a return visit because they were amazing previously. This was the third visit. Obviously is under new management or have taken the restaurant in the wrong direction. Menu has completlying changed. Confusing. And boring. Food was standard and OK. What we liked about Cantina Laredo previously was that it had a quirk to it that made it special. This is gone. This restaurant has gone from passionate to standard. Menu standard. Food standard. Staff standard. Ambience standard. It's not a bad place to get a meal. But it's not a great place anymore either. Pity as it use to be a gem for the area.

I have known Cantina Laredo for years. Our experience was not bad. However, was not great either. The food is not the same as the other Cantina Laredos around USA. The salsas and tortilla chips are "extras" and we were not told about this. I advised upon booking the table that the reason for our visit was "my wife's birthday", However, no-one knew anything nor a cake at the end was offered.
In general, out of the five or six Cantina Laredos I have visited, this regrettably is the one I enjoyed the least.

Visited last weekend, opted for the 3 course £28 menu. Trying to do a modern twist on mexican food but failing miserably. Very small portions and i don't have a big appetite, but my partners 2nd plate was 4 small tacos with bits of diced chiken sprinled over them, and my fajitas were not sizzling but cold sliced chiken on mushy onion and peppers. We did not finish the meal, and had to say to the sweet waitress that it wasn't good at all and she should tell the manager. He did come to the table and apologised but only offered a desert which was part of our £28 menu, to which we declined to have anything and asked for the bill. He did not offer any discount off the bill and seemed uninterested in our dissatisfaction. Special occasion ruined...........

The place and food was good, however the service seemed to be very irritated. At first or waitress seemed to be nice, when she 'pushed' us to try their guacamole, which was a good push choice btw. , however after a while, she was very pushy and we could see her impatience in serving us. Buy - quickly eat and LEAVE!
I understand that they had more people waiting for our table, but the restaurant is not cheap and we booked in advance - thus I would expect more professionalism and perhaps understanding that people don't want to rush while they eat - and it was my birthday.
