We had a most enjoyable evening celebrating a landmark birthday. Definitely a venue for a special occasion. But then who needs an excuse to have a great evening out!

Another lovely evening at Caldesi. Great menu, wonderful service with attention to every detail. A memorable experience.
The Sea Bass was exceptional as was the Calves liver and ravioli. As always the desserts please everyone, and beautifully presented. Just wonderful!

there were 4 of us - 2 very old friends from london - both jewish lawyers .
food - we had 4 x 3 course sunday lunch , 2 gin and tonics , 4 coffees and a nice bottle of red . the meal was as always very good but at the end we had a real shock .
we split the bill and it was presented to our male guest . he immediately realised we were being overcharged and by over £ 100 . you couldn,t miss it on the bill . 4 table d,hote @ £39 etc but then 3 main courses as well at a la carte prices . the waiter was informed and he removed the bill which was represented at the correct £ 220 . i have had 45 years in the restaurant business and felt that it was deliberate not an accident but who knows . no gesture of recompense was offered which surprised me given the exellent service we always have had - you may have a bad apple ?

Unfortunately our evening was completely ruined by a thoroughly annoying loud child on the round table of 6 next to us, we were so disappointed as my nephew has eaten at your restaurant a few times and absolutely loves it, he highly recommended it to us to celebrate my birthday, so as you can imagine we were so looking forward to our evening we you. When we returned home yesterday after our weekend away I was so embrassed and felt for him when I told him of our experience, such ashame. Looking back, maybe I should of asked to move to another table? And I am sure you would of done your best to accommodated my request, but I just put on a brave face hoping that the evening would get better but unfortunately it got worse.
