Within the Windsor Royal shopping centre, Café Rouge serves a delicious range of French dishes. A 10-minute walk from Windsor Castle, Café Rouge is perfect for a quick bite to eat between shops or a more formal evening meal.

As part of the nationwide group of Café Rouge restaurants, this branch offers their range of classic French dishes such as confit duck, beef bourguignon, steak frites and mussels. Smaller dishes are also on offer for a lighter bite. Particularly good value for money are the set menus for lunch and dinner (available most days). To accompany the food there is also a good range of French wines, many from less well known producers.

In true French style, breakfast is also an important meal at Café Rouge. With croissants, pain au chocolat, omelettes and croques, as well as hot chocolate, tea and all types of coffees, it makes a great start to the day.

Café Rouge – Windsor has a light and airy dining area, as well as a spacious courtyard in which to enjoy the French cuisine. Windsor and Elton Rail Station is a 2-minute walk from Café Rouge.

Terrible. Left on our own for forty five minutes and then as we were about to order told there was as minimum thirty minute delay in the kitchen. Decided not to stay. Waiter apologised and gave us our drinks on the house as an apology, which was nice. However mothers day was still ruined....

Choose bistro salads. They were fresh and tasty with a variety of herbs. I felt the sprinkling of smoked salmon was a little sparce for the extra charge. Overall we enjoyed the meal experience for my birthday lunch. Staff curteous and understanding of the wheelchair access to the premises. Thank you

As a returning customer, service and food as expected. Good value. One disappointment - had to ask 4 times for a glass of water!

Taking advantage of birthday bottle of champagne, went with three friends for lunch, the food and service was excellent, would highly recommend it, our waiter was very attentive and friendly to 4 older ladies, made it more enjoyable.

Very nice atmospheric restaurant in the old train station. The food was very good and the waiting staff very friendly and helpful. The breaded Camembert was a lovely starter, cooked to perfection and plenty of it. The escargot wasn't quite as I imagined it would be and there wasn't much of it. The beef bourbignon was also very good as was the risotto. The children's menu was good value for money and had a great choice. The only down side was that the restaurant was quite cold but I imagine this is because of the old station building with the high glass roof and original brick walls so just need to wear an extra layer when dining here!
