Starters were delicious, nicely presented and abundant with food. Mains were equally delicious, tastefully presented, very properly cooked. Desserts were delicious, tho could have been a bit fresher--may have been 'yesterdays.'

In an impressive building with pavement seating, very close to the Tube station of the same name, Tottenham Court Road Café Rouge is between Oxford Street and the British Museum.

Part of the nationwide Café Rouge chain, this branch serves their signature range of French dishes such as steak frites, poulet Breton, confit duck and mussels. If you're short on time, there are also smaller dishes. For lunch and dinner (on certain days) you can also choose the excellent value set menus. To accompany the food is a good selection of French wines, several from less well known producers.

In addition to being popular for lunch and dinner, Café Rouge is also open for breakfast. With omelettes, croissants and pain au chocolat, as well as hot chocolate, tea and all types of coffees, it makes a great start to the day.

Set right in the heart of London, within walking distance of Soho and Covent Garden, Café Rouge Tottenham Court Road is a convenient stopping point between shopping or sightseeing and for pre-or post-theatre meals.

The staff at Cafe Rouge, Tottenham Court Road, could not have been more accomodation. I changed the time on the day and then turned up an hour earlier, having finished my business in London much earlier than anticipated. This did not faze them one bit.
My wife and I selected from the set menu rather than the al a carte, although we both would have chosen exactly the same dishes from the al a carte menu. The food was cooked and presented to our satisfaction andthe price quite reasonable. I would have no hesitation to diningthere again or recommending this venue to my friends.

The service was fantastic & the food was really good. A brilliant place to have a pre-theatre meal with great value for money. The 2 course £12.95 menu was just right for my Mum & Dad and the Rib-Eye steaks for us were perfect.
