Authentic and cosy, Café Rouge Norwich has the Parisian charm to match the French cuisine on the menu. Set in the centre of Norwich, Café Rouge is within walking distance of high street shops.

As part of the nationwide chain of Café Rouge restaurants, this branch offers their range of classic French dishes such as confit duck, beef bourguignon, steak frites and mussels. Smaller dishes are also on offer for a lighter bite. Particularly good value for money are the set menus for lunch and dinner (available most days). To accompany the food there is also a good range of French wines, many from less well known producers.

In true French style, breakfast is also an important meal at Café Rouge. With croissants, pain au chocolat, omelettes and croques, as well as hot chocolate, tea and all types of coffees, it makes a great start to the day.

Offering affordable French dishes, Café Rouge is a 5-minute drive from Norwich Train Station and a 7-minute walk from the Norwich Playhouse.

we booked the table for 6-30 pm and it was already busy. The meal was average and it was very expensive, it was a good evening but to be honest it was not worth what we paid for it.

We have eaten here several times before and always enjoyed the food and experience however this time I think there was a problem in the kitchen. We had to complain about my husbands starter - mushrooms in garlic butter - no garlic, a sort of gravy sauce and very poorly presented- it did not resemble the standard dish at all. Other dishes were acceptable that evening and the manager was very apologetic and offered us free drinks however it was not up to their usual standard. Another couple sent both their main courses back to the kitchen!
