With brasserie-style design and a cosy interior, Hampstead Café Rouge serves classic French cuisine. On Hampstead High Street, Café Rouge has outside seating and is only a 1-minute walk from Hampstead Tube Station in London.

As part of the nationwide group of Café Rouge restaurants, this branch offers their range of classic French dishes such as confit duck, beef bourguignon, steak frites and mussels. Smaller dishes are also on offer for a lighter bite. Particularly good value for money are the set menus for lunch and dinner (available most days). To accompany the food there is also a good range of French wines, many from less well known producers.

In true French style, breakfast is also an important meal at Café Rouge. With croissants, pain au chocolat, omelettes and croques, as well as hot chocolate, tea and all types of coffees, it makes a great start to the day.

Café Rouge Hampstead is an excellent choice for informal French dining in a friendly, relaxed environment. There is a private room and Hampstead Heath is within easy reach.

Myself, my wife and teenage daughter have been dining at the Hampstead branch of Cafe Rouge for many years. We always have a wonderful relaxing evening. The surroundings are very pleasant, the food is always cooked to perfection and we always receive excellent, friendly attentive service from the staff. In particular we find the manager 'Visar ' a credit to the restaurant. He always welcomes us like long lost friends and really makes our evening a special one. He truly is a credit to Cafe Rouge and runs it so well. He is extremely knowledgeable about the items on the menu and gives excellent advise about dishes etc.
We can honestly say that whether we dine alone or with friends or family we always have a special evening.

We had to wait an hour for our food even though we had booked a table. The staff were unhelpful and unsympathetic. Other diners were complaining too about the delay. It was a terrible experience, none of us will ever go again to Cafe Rouge.
