We were a group of 5 ladies having lunch before a function at the O2 Arena. We had 2 courses for £12.95. We all chose something different and all the meals were lovely. Very good service from a very polite young man. Definitely would recommend.

Housed within an impressive building, Cafe Rouge – Greenwich O2 presents a chic, French-style retreat from the bustle. Floor-to-ceiling windows give the dining room a fresh, airy feel.

As part of the nationwide group of Café Rouge restaurants, this branch offers classic French dishes such as confit duck, beef bourguignon, steak frites and mussels. Smaller dishes also offer for a lighter bite. Particularly good value for money are the set menus for lunch and dinner (available most days). To accompany the food there is also a good range of French wines, many from less well known producers.

In true French style, breakfast is an important meal at Café Rouge in Greenwich. With croissants, pain au chocolat, omelettes and croques, as well as hot chocolate, tea and all types of coffees, it makes a great start to the day.

    My partners steak was terrible. Very overcooked when we requested one that was cooked medium. Because we had to send it back we effectively had dinner separately.

    Very pleasant and welcoming staff, service brilliant but five of the party had burgers which were very overcooked and dry/rubbery. My sea bream was however good. Always had great meals in various Cafe Rouge's over the years so the food was disappointing as certainly not a budget option either.

    Unfortunately there were some severe delays in the restaurant that made our experience very stressful. We were going to the o2 arena and had booked in plenty of time (2 hours) for a 2 course meal but there were very long waits for the food to come from the kitchen. We had to ask numerous times for our food and there was no sense of management control. Our waiters and waitresses were polite but seemed to be waiting for food to come from the kitchen. When our main course did arrive ironically some of it was cold!
    Our waiters were polite and appreciated our problems as we were fast running out of time and reduced the bill as a small compensation but it is unlikely we will return.

    It was a pretty awful dining experience. The waitress/ manager was annoyed that we were early (15 minutes) and commented that everyone was early that day. She showed us to a table and made it clear that we could not be served yet. This was no problem for us. We felt very unwelcome. My 5 year old granddaughter wanted pasta from the children's menu and we were told that the restaurant was out of pasta!! How can a restaurant be out of pasta and tomato sauce? When my granddaughter asked for felt tip pens to colour in the sheet she had been given, she was given a brown and a blue one only. This nearly led to a tantrum! My starter was cold and was replaced. However, I was too full to enjoy it. I am not convinced that the mains dish I ordered was the one I received. However, by this time the restaurant was very busy and our waitress was serving other customers. She did not come to us and ask us if we wanted dessert. We had been waiting about 20 minutes when another waitress asked us if we wanted anything else.
    My personal view is that there were too many customers and too few waiters. I will never eat at Cafe Rouge again.

    We were late for our booking, and fully expected to be turned away as the place was heaving (concert night at the 02). However the manager asked us to wait in the queue, and she would get us a table. It took about 20 minutes, but she was kept assuring us that it would be ok, and you could see just how efficient she was in a very busy situation.
    Got seated, and the waitress was again excellent, and the food was terrific. The staff could not have been any more attentive and efficient (Cafe Rouge, they are an excellent advertisement for your company). Just goes to prove that with good staff, a very busy restaurant can still be a great experience for the diner.
    Thanks for a great night.

    Nice meal, not spectacular.
    Very good service and location.
    Customers allowed to queue waiting for a table. They were very noisy and kept bumping into the back of our chair. Also because of the queue, the restaurant door was open allowing a cold blast of winter air in!
