So glad you still have the Souffle on your menu, it is delicious and just right for a lunchtime snack, followed by lemon tart and a coffee.

Service slow. We were there 2.5 hours. We had to ask for cutlery for the main course and remind them my wife had ordered a glass of red wine to accompany her steak. Despite poor/slow service the food was vary good.

Excellent food and cosy atmosphere. Have only lived locally for 20+ years and never been there, not sure why!

We arrived a bit early and was seated straight away. It took ages for someone to come over and take our drinks order. After our drinks were served it again took ages for our order to be taken. Finally, when it was taken and took an age to arrive, my Son's prawns were so overcooked, they were inedible. We then had to wait ages for our main courses to arrive and no-one came and apologised for the length of time it was taking. We asked a new chap who was delightful and very helpful and we were told they were on there way. We asked if they were short staffed in the kitchen and he said that one chef was cooking and the other cleaning. Clearly wanting to get away asap!! Our mains still didn't arrive for some time after. When they did arrive, the rib eye steaks were not cooked to our liking. We asked for medium rare and they were almost well done. My son's steak was so fatty that it was almost inedible. I had asked for a Sirloin which came out almost well done with dauphinous potatoes which were not very hot and a side portion of spinach. I had almost finished my meal when the side order came out. The new chap was so embarrassed about everything that he did not want to serve us any more. We were not rude or loud spoken but clearly said that we were not happy. The manager finally came over after our plates were taken away and asked if everything was ok and we told him everything that had happened and duly apologised and said they were experiencing problems. Our overall experience was not a good one and think that we may choose somewhere else to eat in future. However, a round of drinks was deducted off our bill for our inconvenience which I guess is something!

Great service, good food, but portions too small. Especially the deserts.
