Decorated in the definitive Café Rouge style, this Cambridge branch serves French cuisine on Bridge Street, midway between the punts and the city centre shops.

Belonging to the popular UK-wide group of Café Rouge restaurants, this restaurant offers their range of classic French dishes such as deep-fried camembert, steak frites, beef bourguignon and confit duck. For those short on time, lighter dishes are available, and the set menus provide excellent value for those on a budget. To drink, there is a range of French wines, many from less well known producers.

As you would expect from a French restaurant, breakfast is also an important meal at Café Rouge. For a great start to the day, you can choose from croissants, pain au chocolat, baguettes, omelettes and croques, with hot chocolate, tea and coffees as an accompaniment.

The handy location of Cambridge Café Rouge near to the river and most famous colleges makes it a popular choice for tourists, but it is also good for a meal out before going to the pubs and bars on Bridge Street or in the city centre.

    Great duck!

We sat in the courtyard and looking up saw a balcony covered in filth which caused concern that some of it might drop into our food. Starters were good but the Moules marinière were rather small and overcooked. The boeuf bourguignon did not appear to have any red wine or garlic - just a very ordinary beef stew that had been kept hot too long.

Food was good service was mediocre.. it took them 4 goes to get the bill correct nearly making us late for the theatre. Wouldn't bother again. Cote next door is far superior

The whole experience was wonderful! ?? The staff were friendly, helpful and super organised. The food was yummy and surprisingly quick to come considering there were 37 of us. Thank you to Mila and all the staff who served us and for making our evening lovely. Xxx

We had a very nice lunch. Food was very tasty, prosecco chilled! Our waiter was really nice and very helpful in his recommendations. Nice atmosphere in the restaurant and lovely and warm.

This French Café style restaurant is cosy and welcoming and offers attentive service. We chose from the two courses for £12.95 menu and the food was both tasty and good value. We bought a bottle of Merlot to accompany our meal which, although comparatively expensive, was very good indeed.

It was my mothers birthday and I wanted something special The food was good but the service was not very good. They forgot the kids food and they bring the food like 1 hour after we ordered. we had to cancel the kids food because we give them our food because it was so late. The manager give us a 6 pound discount on the bill so we complained because we did not think it was fair after all the problems and finally they make a 32 pound discount

Excellent evening, the staff were very friendly, the restaraunt had a good atmosphere, the food was excellent and we ate from a fixed price menus which was good value and also had plenty of choice. Will definitely go there again.
