Surrounded by shops in Bristol's Cabot Circus shopping centre, Café Rouge offers an authentic menu full of tasty French dishes in a traditional setting.

As part of the nationwide chain of Café Rouge restaurants, this branch offers their range of classic French dishes such as confit duck, beef bourguignon, steak frites and mussels. Smaller dishes are also on offer for a lighter bite. Particularly good value for money are the set menus for lunch and dinner (available most days). To accompany the food there is also a good range of French wines, many from less well known producers.

In true French style, breakfast is also an important meal at Café Rouge. With croissants, pain au chocolat, omelettes and croques, as well as hot chocolate, tea and all types of coffees, it makes a great start to the day.

Near the centre of Bristol, Café Rouge – Cabot Circus is a 10-minute drive from Bristol Temple Meads Train Station.

Group of 10 of us dined on a Friday evening and had the xmas meal with 2 bottles of free wine. Even had 'goody bags' which provided a bit of entertainment. Good choice of meals, including veggie option. The food was tasty with good sized portions - especially the sprouts!. We all enjoyed our meals. The creme brulee was delicious but would have been even better if the crispy top bit had been hot. The service was very good.

We went in the evening with our two sons, and one daughter in law, to celebrate my wife's and elder son's birthdays. The restaurant is very much a chain, so it's hard to be over enthusiastic about the atmosphere. The food was superbly cooked and very tasty, much better than you might expect for a chain. We had [...] vouchers to take the blow out of the bill, otherwise I do think it's a bit pricy for what it is. But service was excellent, and couldn't really fault it in any other way

We really like Cafe Rouge and ate at the Park Street branch last week. As the opportunity came up again we booked a table for 8pm at the Cabot Circus branch this time. The service seemed fine, but unfortunately part of starter didn't arrive, so we asked for it and they bought TWO, which we really didn't want. Main course Cheese Soufle arrived still frozen in the middle. After complaining it was replaced (after 10-15 min wait), but on the same plate with same rather tired pile of salad leaves that must have been prepared much earlier as bits had turned see-thru..... The congenial Monday-night-manager eventually came to take a desert order which we declined, but kindly offered us complimentary coffees... and then only made ONE complimentary! - as customer service goes it meant well but missed the mark by a mile....quite bizarre! We settled the bill but will not be back. The Park Street branch is FAR SUPERIOR.

I often eat here because it's a good restaurant, they serve good food and they have a good gluten free menu.
