Our waitress was amazing. She is Polish but we don't remember her name. The garlic bread and mussels and chips were very nice.

Within the popular Bluewater Shopping Centre, the bistro-style setting of Cafe Rouge - Bluewater evokes a chic ambience. Expansive front windows make for a bright, airy dining room.

As part of the nationwide group of Café Rouge restaurants, this branch offers their range of classic French dishes such as confit duck, beef bourguignon, steak frites and mussels. Smaller dishes are also on offer for a lighter bite. Particularly good value for money are the set menus for lunch and dinner (available most days). To accompany the food there is also a good range of French wines, many from less well known producers.

In true French style, breakfast is an important meal at Café Rouge. With croissants, pain au chocolat, omelettes and croques, as well as hot chocolate, tea and all types of coffees, it makes a great start to the day.

With sleek furnishings and a littering of vintage prints, Bluewater Shopping Centre Cafe Rouge is an authentic retreat. Greenhithe Rail Station is just a 7-minute drive away.

We were a little delayed in being seated as it was mothers day and they were very busy. Our Waitress was wonderful (she was from Poland, but I don't know her name) she was very attentive without being intrustive and very friendly. The food was very good and everyone was pleased with their meal. The Restaurant was very hot, but they didn't use the air conditioning which would have made it more comfortable.

Starter was lovely and the main too except the sea bass was the tiniest portion I have ever seen and the veg inside was undercooked. I also didn't expect to have to pay £3 for a tiny bowl of carrots and another £3 for a tiny bowl of potatoes. This made a very small meal cost a lot of money! I think the only time I will visit again will be when there is a money off voucher to make up for the extra you have to order for a filling meal.
Service was great though, couldn't do enough to help.

Overall fairly pleased with meal but prawn starter definitely not as good as it used to be. Didn't seem as fresh or as many herbs or chilli flakes etc used. One tiny finger bowl between two people not good enough and no extra serviettes provided. But the restaurant was very busy. Lamb was a bit tough but the duck was very good. Vegetables very good. We enjoy eating in this restaurant and the staff are always very friendly. It is our favourite place in Bluewater. But it is a shame that the building does not cope with loud sound it needs acoustic dampers.

Very good as usual. We had the mussels and lobster bisque for starters and both had a fillet steak. Both steaks were cooked just as we like them.

Only downside: Chips were cold again (same as last time) and neither of us ate them as we we couldn't be bothered to get them changed.

It was generally good, even on a busy Saturday and service was very good.
