Found within a beautiful building on Grey Street, Byron Newcastle is a family-friendly restaurant in the city centre. This historic site, set over 2 floors, features intricate stained glass window panels, leather booths and a glistening brass-topped bar.

The Byron menu is made up of juicy hamburgers, served the way they should be. Properly sourced, British beef is ground fresh into 6oz patties, cooked medium (or however you fancy) so they’re pink and juicy, and served in a squishy bun with a pickle on the side. Favourites include the double bacon with cheese, or the signature Byron.

Byron also offers a ‘Mini Byron’ kids menu, plus vegetarian options and fresh, vibrant salads. Round things off properly with fries, sides, thick-churned milkshakes, specially-selected craft beers and homemade desserts.

A crown-pleasing restaurant showcasing on-trend interior design, Byron in Newcastle is a 2-minute walk from Monument Metro Station.

Friendly staff, cool venue. Burger was cooked to perfection. American diner experience in Newcastle.

Good menu. I particularly liked the fact you ordered your main and then the sides. I usually spend money on meals that include items I don't want or I have to try to swap for a sad salad.
Booth was lively and had a view of Grey St so great for people watching in Newcastle.
Our server Sam deserves a mention too. She gave us good advice about the menu, which we followed and had a wonderful meal.

I am not a big drinker so don't comment about it other than we enjoyed the pint and GnT we ordered.

Good range of sweets and coffees but we were already satisfied.

Alas no proposal but you can't have everything and at the end of the day the dining experience was perfect.

The burgers were delicious and arrived quickly. The courgette fries were a bit lacking and a bit soggy, but that is expected with a vegetable full of water. The sweet potato fries were over-cooked and therefore hollow so they lost all their nutritional value and didn't taste of much either. Other than those two small issues it was great.

Very disappointing food. Hardly any taste in the ingredients on the burger and was almost cold. Tasteless bread bun too. Given the cost we won't return as Fat Hippo is almost next door and far superior for this type of food.
Lovely staff and great setting but food very disappointing. Needs to improve at those prices.

Excellent meal and excellent service. My second visit but my friends' first one and they loved it. I saw some nice looking courgettes as I was leaving - have to try them next time! Will definitely be back.

The burgers were beautiful, my favourite was the Smokey. One of our party ordered a salad and said this was one of the nicest salads they had eaten recently. The sides were nice and good value along with the desserts. The restaurant itself if beautiful and there is a lovely atmosphere

Nice bright airy space, you didn't feel crowded. Good to see cooking area. Menu nice and simple, no over complicated dishes and catered for everyone.
