A trendy restaurant on the idyllic Burgate stretch, Byron Canterbury is a family favourite for American-style hamburgers. Old-school interior design and reclaimed furnishings are offset by a flash open kitchen, offering views of Byron’s chefs at work.

The Byron menu is made up of juicy hamburgers, served the way they should be. Properly sourced, British beef is ground fresh into 6oz patties, cooked medium (or however you fancy) so they’re pink and juicy, and served in a squishy bun with a pickle on the side. Favourites include the double bacon with cheese, or the signature Byron.

Byron also offers a ‘Mini Byron’ kids menu, plus vegetarian options and fresh, vibrant salads. Round things off properly with fries, sides, thick-churned milkshakes, specially-selected craft beers and homemade desserts.

Large windows stretching the full length of the restaurant offer views out onto the neighbouring street’s bustle at Byron in Canterbury. Canterbury East Train Station is a 9-minute walk away.

    Had the two paty burger
Was nice but £13 was abut steep. The portion of fries was a little tight too.
The actual restaurant was far too bright.

I had the new Byron burger, the one with bovril onions and freddah cheese, the name escapes me but it was the best burger I have ever had! Cooked to perfection and so juicy
All of the flavours complimented and it was just gorgeous
