Busaba Kingston offers an exotic fusion of traditional and contemporary Thai cuisine on the banks of the Thames. Floor-to-ceiling windows showcase the restaurant’s stunning location.
The Busaba menu packs bold flavours into an array of stir-fry, curry, soup and noodle dishes. Discover the likes of fried chicken stir-fry with lemongrass, shallots and sweet chilli sauce, massaman duck curry with peanut, star anise and cinnamon, or a classic pad Thai with king prawns, shrimp, beansprouts and lime. From the grill, try salmon fillet with baby spinach and coconut rice, or beef sirloin with a spicy tamarind sauce.
A considered selection of drinks at Busaba is on hand to complement the full range of flavours. Exotic soft drinks include jasmine smoothie with passion fruit, banana, orange and natural yoghurt, whilst aromatic teas and international wines are also on offer.
A stroll over the bridge from Hampton Court Palace, Busaba Kingston Riverside is also a short walk from both Kingston and Hampton Wick train stations.

Busaba is a neighbourhood restaurant that can always be relied on for tasty offerings. We booked ahead as we were treating my niece who was visiting from Dubai, to lunch.
However, the service was awful. We got to the door and stood there unattended while staff saw to everything and everyone else, even things that seemed not urgent, like wrapping cutlery in napkins. Eventually we called out to one who then came over and attempted to seat us. While we indicated to her where we preferred to sit, a colleague came up and whispered to her, whereupon she claimed that we could only sit in the part of tje restaurant we were not keen on, even though there were empty tables elsewhere, Grudgingly, we took our seats. 15 minutes later, we had to call the waitress over to take our order. No offer of drinks first etc. so we ordered and ten we waited. The water came to the table, but nothing else did for a full 20 - 25 minutes. Then it all came at once, after we enquired twice; starter and mains arriiving together. Interestingly, at the second time of asking, the waitress claimed she didn't know what was happening in the restaurant that day and apologised for the wait for our food.
The curries and the grilled salmon were all tasty, as were the calamari and the Thai coleslaw.
Felt like we'd been put through the wringer just to have a simple lunch. Sad. I'd like to go there again because of the food, but the service was awful.

I love Busaba. I had two coupons for free small plates to use. The staff wasn't sure I can use two at one time, but he came back confirmed that I could use. Looked at the coupon, there wasn't any indication of min purchase of period of time to use any. in the future, it will be great to put T&C on the coupon clearly so no need any quibble. As Busaba fan, I don't want any bad service to happen, which will stop me going there!
Food was good as always. I had my sister who is vegetarian. I never realized vegetarian menu aren't as tasty as others until yesterday. Perhaps worth reviewing v menu?

It's great. Except for price unfortunately.

Food came out on time, lovely view across the Thames , food was reasonable and sufficient. I did find including the tip on the bill a little rude. Its up to the individual to decide whether they leave a tip or not. In fact we didn't leave a tip because of the presumed acceptance that we would leave one. Happy with the service but not with the management. Also wine horrendously over priced and limited availability.

The venue is very inviting and comfortable. There were several prams in the restaurant and it didn't feel cramped. The service was friendly and efficient. The food: I had the Green curry, it was OK, I've had better in other restaurants. Majority of my group said they enjoyed their meal. The desserts were delicious as was the bottle of Pinot Grigio
It wasn't clear which was the male/female toilet - male on the right, female on the left!
