Inspired by the rustic dishes and bold flavours of the Mediterranean, Burley Manor and its wood-fired kitchen produce food that is from the heart, to be enjoyed together in relaxed, spectacular surroundings.

Advocates of the slow food movement, time is spent finding the finest produce from as close to the restaurant as possible. Making the most of its New Forest location, ingredients on the Burley Manor menu are sourced from forest to coast using the unrivalled choice of local suppliers, before the traditional wood-fired oven brings out the best in them.

Guests can also enjoy a unique, tailored Mediterranean feast on the chef’s table in the Butler’s Pantry whilst watching their dishes cooking in the wood-fired oven. Chat away with the chefs, enjoy a glass of champagne and sample an array of different dishes from the region of your choice as they come straight from oven to table. Served in the cosy pantry with 2 bench seat, the price includes a bottle of champagne for the table, and a 3-course regional Mediterranean feast for between 6 and 8 people.

Situated in the heart of the New Forest, Burley Manor in Hampshire is just 12 minutes’ drive from Ringwood.

Went for an evening out with my wife. The staff were very welcoming with just the right level of attentiveness. 'The building has the appearance of a comfortable old large Manor House home. We were in the conservatory which is off the main restaurant and as it was a cold night it was lucky we were warmly dressed. They did offer to move us but on balance we chose to stay for the view and privacy and it did warm up.

We had a mixed tapas, really a meze of middle eastern dishes to start with which were good but the tabouleh had far too little mint and parsley. We eat lots of ME food and this was not a good tabouleh The lamb kibbeh was excellent as was the humus although it is difficult to fail with that.

The wine list is not huge but has a well balanced selection of middle priced wines. One particularly good point is the ability to buy many of them as 250ml carafes. A good volume if you want a different wine with each course and / or you are driving. We chose a NZ Sauvignon Blanc and a Fleurie from Francre both of which were good.
My wifes' main course was a beef daube which was very disappointing, too many olives and not what one would expect of a daube - unbalanced flavours. My wood oven roast lamb was very tasty but could have done with more greens and sauce. The so called crispy polenta truffle chips were anything but crispy. The maitre d took our comments on the daube and chips very seriously and did not charge us for the daube.
My fig desert was absolutely top class and really deserved to be accompanied by a good desert wine but I was driving.

Overall disappointing in parts but we were well looked after and we will return again to give it a second chance. We did have a lovely evening in pleasant surroundings.

The venue is really stunning. The lounge area for pre dinner drinks just seems to hug you and the dining room, despite being a reasonable size still felt intimate. The food on the whole was really excellent. The only thing that let it down was the cheese board in two respects, a) the waiter while very pleasant and attentive did not know what cheeses were on the board (nor did he know the ice cream flavours available). This is just basics really in a place of this calibre so was surprised. b) two of the cheeses which clearly should be kept at a cool room temperature had been stored in a fridge. Also the accompanying chutney jelly was awful and we suspect not made in house. However, the rest of the meal was truly wonderful and I would strongly recommend the venison.

Love the cosy atmosphere. Tagliatelle is my favourite dish and yours was delicious. Service was very good and staff very pleasant and helpful, will visit again when in area.

I had contacted 5 restaurants in the New Forest and was unable to get a reservation before 15.00hrs. We were able to book a table for 4 at Burley Manor simply on line.
Very impressive setting, warm welcome, a comfortable pre-lunch drink in grand surroundings, orders were taken and we were shown to our table. Service friendly and excellent, nothing too much trouble. Lunch was excellent perfectly cooked roast beef, pork and crispy roast potatoes. Coffee taken in lounge. Can't understand why the restaurant was only half full. Mild criticism the Sunday lunch menu a little limited, 3 items for each course - nothing in the desserts to tempt us, perhaps more of the open fires could be lit. However we will definitely be going again.

I have to say how disappointed we were with the dining experience. Both couples opted for the beef sharing platter. Two plates were brought out with the Beeb and placed in front of my sister in law and myself with no explanation. We initially thought that two further plates with beef would be brought out, but no the waitress returned with four plates and then vegables. There was an long wait between the beef arriving and the vegables, the net was the food was only Luke warm. The vegables portions were tiny only three small roast potatos each and no yourkshire pudding. We also realised during the meal that the wrong wine had been served, which cost us another

The desert menu was uninspiring, so despite still being home nary we left.

    Would not rush back.

Superb food, beautifully presented. Breads delicious, service perfect. Menu has so much to tempt that it was difficult to choose. Portions just right to allow room for desserts. Main dish meats were all beautifully cooked. Loved the polenta chips and pat atlas bra as as sides. Seated on a table that proved to be a bit of a thoroughfare, so heavy footfall behind chairs, which was distracting. Table wobbled.
