Inspired by the rustic dishes and bold flavours of the Mediterranean, Burley Manor and its wood-fired kitchen produce food that is from the heart, to be enjoyed together in relaxed, spectacular surroundings.

Advocates of the slow food movement, time is spent finding the finest produce from as close to the restaurant as possible. Making the most of its New Forest location, ingredients on the Burley Manor menu are sourced from forest to coast using the unrivalled choice of local suppliers, before the traditional wood-fired oven brings out the best in them.

Guests can also enjoy a unique, tailored Mediterranean feast on the chef’s table in the Butler’s Pantry whilst watching their dishes cooking in the wood-fired oven. Chat away with the chefs, enjoy a glass of champagne and sample an array of different dishes from the region of your choice as they come straight from oven to table. Served in the cosy pantry with 2 bench seat, the price includes a bottle of champagne for the table, and a 3-course regional Mediterranean feast for between 6 and 8 people.

Situated in the heart of the New Forest, Burley Manor in Hampshire is just 12 minutes’ drive from Ringwood.

Simply lovely atmosphere and service. Food was exquisite, especially for the reasonable prices. Had Moroccan chickpea and lentil soup to start - outstanding. Had roast duck breast, wife doesn't ever like duck but loved it when she tried some. Wife had braised beef, again, fantastic. Both dishes came with roasted baby veg and a few other little bits that were a nice surprise and delicious. Will definitely be coming back with friends next time we holiday in the area!

Upon booking I had mentioned it was our wedding anniversary and we were surprised with glasses of prosecco on the house when we arrived. The food was beautiful, the blade of beef with smoky mash and roasted root vegetables was melt in the mouth with amazing flavours. Staff were very attentive without being overpowering. Stunning setting, great value for money!

We tried the 2 courses for £18 lunch menu. This was good value with bread and oil and a glass of fizzy. The food was very good. The only negative was the sea bass,
to many tart flavours, needed to be more balanced.
The other problem was the staff's inability to get the bill correct ! It took three attempts !

Posh nosh but struggled to understand some staff as English isn't their first language. Needed someone to explain all the dishes to me or Google dishes unsure of especially as one of us was gluten free and couldn't have garlic/ onions as well.

our experience was not good , we arrived , ordered our pre lunch drinks , a bottle of expensive prosecco was brought to the table in an ice bucket , but when we tasted it , it was warm , not chilled ?? , we had pre ordered our food so expected i t to be really fantastic, chataubriand £48.00 , x 2 it was over cooked & very small , we had also asked for bearnaise sauce with the steak but were told 10 minutes after they had put the steak on the table that the chef did not want to make it ?? ?? The waiter was very surley & quite rude from the beginning , .As we were the only diners in the restaurant I was surprised that they got it so wrong .

Food was of a very high standard and all the dishes we had were much enjoyed, but portions were rather small. Service somewhat lacking in finesse - possibly inexperienced staff? It slightly spoilt a special occasion and didn't match the high quality of the cuisine and the hotel and restaurant generally.

All a little strange to be honest. The place was completely dead and. Hristmas tree on arrival also virtually dead! We had to find our own way through to the restaurant but were greeted once we got there: friendly enough but not a particularly special/warm welcome particularly considering we were the only people there.
    Service itself was ok.
I ordered the squid to start. The squid itself was delicious and perfectly cooked but it was randomly served with brown beans which weren't mentioned st allon thrnenu yet were dominant on the plate. Personally I don't like them and explained to the waiter I wouldn't have chosen the dish had I known. No service recovery demonstrated. Furthermore the chilli flavour that was mentioned on the menu was completely absent!
The main course lamb was very fatty but beautifully cooked. The menu stated it came with cheese gnocchi: if that was gnocchi I've never seen or tasted the like before! Big solid triangles of stodge. I left it but the waiter did not ask if it was ok.
Your wine list is very expensive. You need at least a couple of reasonably priced options.
Considering how quiet the place was, (and in Christmas week) you should be running offers to encourage people: free bottle of wine with table of 4. If you e got people booked in on such a quiet night, suggest you get some tables filled for free with staff and locals to get some buzz in the restaurant, increase awareness and enable staff to experience the restaurant from a customer perspective.
There was nothing in the restaurant to reflect it was Christmas.
On departure still no one in hotel reception and there is insufficient lighting outside as you walk to car park but the exterior presentation of the building and forecourt is lovely.
