Offering a taste of true Argentinian cuisine & culture, Buenos Aires Restaurant – Wimbledon combines traditional food, fine wines from Mendoza & live Tango shows. With the first site opening its doors in 2007, the restaurant sources its beef from the fertile lowlands of Las Pampas & cooks it on an authentic parilla (barbecue).

Traditional dishes such as empanadas, pinchos & patatas bravas are served at the restaurant, while highlights on the Buenos Aires menu include provoleta – a typical Argentinian starter of slow-cooked provolone cheese with tomato & oregano – and, of course, a selection of tender beef cuts. Try the succulent churrasco de lomo – the finest prime fillet marinated for 24 hours in garlic, parsley & olive oil, then chargrilled to your liking.

With chunky wooden tables, cow-hide adorning the walls, and chocolate-brown leather seats, Buenos Aires boasts a welcoming, rustic steak-house vibe. Vibrant Argentinian-themed artwork adorns the walls, while live salsa music & Tango events add a further dimension of authenticity.

Buenos Aires Restaurant in Wimbledon is a 5-minute walk from Wimbledon Tube Station.

This is a place for carnivores- the steaks were great and perfectly cooked. There was a choice of potatoes, and other side dishes- my friend's spinach was excellent. We sampled 2 sweets and the coconut tart was very good. There is a good wine list and the wine we sampled was excellent.
A little slow to bring coffee and not the best of cappuchinos and rather slow with the bill. The toiletys are behingd the serving area- rather cramped access.

Very busy due to Wimbledon week and the staff (only a few) were rushed off their feet.
