Inspired by the 1994 smash-hit film Forrest Gump, Bubba Gump serves up a menu devoted to shrimp. This favourite American restaurant group brings its first site to the UK, which sits amidst the bustle of Piccadilly Circus.
Alongside the super-fresh, sustainably-sourced shrimp dishes, the Bubba Gump menu is filled with home-cooked Alabama-style main courses. Favourites include ‘dumb luck’ coconut shrimp with Cajun marmalade, fries and coleslaw, or mama’s southern-fried chicken with bourbon gravy. Extravagant yet homely desserts include key lime pie or the ‘best of the best’ sampler for a little taste of everything, while tropical-style cocktails are served in souvenir glasses.
The colourful dining room features rustic, seafood shack-style décor, and the walls are plastered with memorabilia from the film. Bubba Gump in London also serves a special under-10s menu, filled with Forrest Gump-themed main courses, and build-your-own sundaes.
Found within London’s bustling Trocadero Bubba Gump restaurant in Piccadilly Circus sits directly next door to the tube station.

Poor ribs portion for a £20 meal and fish portion in the fish and chips meal like a single fish finger.
Not value .

Service very good, food good at the start of the meal, however it all tastes very "samey"and was a struggle to finish the meal even for those with a large appetite. We both felt quite unwell after the meal and were still bad the next day.

Excellent meal and a great atmosphere. All of our dishes were delicious but the dessert was our favourite. Also, our waitress was extremely friendly and helpful. We would definitely go again. The original prices on the menu would have been too much for us to pay but we stuck to the £35 three course meal with a cocktail. It was a fantastic deal and great value for money

Really disappointed. Food was cold and to be honest looked very unappetising. Very bland, fried food which I would have expected at a cheap takaway. Have eaten at Bubba Gumps in the US but this was nothing like our previous experience. Will not be visiting again.

I enjoyed a perfect birthday lunch with my wife. Cocktails were really special, we both love tequila, food was cooked to perfection and service from waiting staff was faultless. Cannot recommend highly enough. Everybody went out of their way to make sure I had a really special time. And I really did. This review is really to thank everyone. Absolutely nothing could have been improved. I especially recommend the popcorn shrimp. Delicious. Really delicious. I spilt a large cocktail by accident. It was replaced gratis as a kindness. When does that happen? And at the end of the meal all of the waiting staff arrived with icecream and sang happy birthday. Yay!

I had a birthday gift brought for me with hotel stay so it was done through Superbreak, I chose to eat at bubba grump but wished I had done planet Hollywood instead. So as a birthday gift thought it would be nice, we were seated at our table , which the process to arriving and being seated was lovely, we sat down and was given menus, so I informed them it was with superbreak, so was told you can't eat from there, there is another menu, ok, no problem, from then on was treated like we were less deserving to be there than anyone else because it was all booked and paid for. The menu for starters was very poor, who goes to a fish restaurant to have minestrone soup for a starter, the mains was ok, there was variety, but when it arrived, my husband and I had the same and it was more or less thrown on the table, both had odd plates, different, one of us had half a plate full the other one more, looked like it had been someone else's leftovers....from sitting at the table to leaving, the whole experience was awful.
