Excellent, staff excelled themselves, even gave parking advice. Very helpful, charming, food was very good, reasonably priced, service excellent.

We were extremely disappointed with the service for the restaurant, incredibly slow considering it wasn't that busy. The food was acceptable but not great considering the cost. Overall we won't return to dine.

    Disappointing

I am afraid we were very disappointed with our experience. The starter was nice, but we both opted for mussels for our main course and were told there were none left. We later saw other people apparently eating mussels! I had the risotto, and it was very grainy and under-cooked. I took half home to recook it! We then both had the salted caramel chocolate pudding and found it a little odd in flavour. It had a peculiar aftertaste, and too much salt in it. I again left some of this. Exited Brown's still hungry! The staff were friendly, but we got the impression those eating the special offer menu weren't considered as important as other diners. Their chance to engage us as future customers was wasted. The music was also too loud and the space very noisy.

I was slightly disappointed to be honest, it wasn't the 2 course and a drink for £19.95 as I was lead to believe it was. The starter I wanted, (the beef) wasn't available, I don't know why, it was only 7.45! My partners lamb was very fatty, one piece in particular was just grissle. I didn't have a pudding, but my partner did, and she left half of it, so I spent £92 on a meal I thought would be around £50 with an extra drink. I had been looking forward to the night since booking it, and I left disappointed.

After in eating in many browns and even in Notts couple time we thought we'd take friends for dinner and was really disappointed. The staff was lovely but things were out of there hands slow with drinks we did have cocktails so appreciate they take time. My husband had scallops to start and was cold I had fishcakes that was £11 of light mains was worried would be to big but when arrived was just 1 fishcake and little rocket with little herbed mayo was nice but not what I ordered. My pain the pork belly was very good and my friends lobster was equally as good. The boys had steaks my husband ordered fillet medium rare and came well done and was like it had been boiled wasn't good at all but we was embarrassed to send back as we was treating our friends I was really disappointed and such shame as we've had lovely meals here before and love the venue usually the food and the cocktails but feel very disappointed

Lovely atmosphere, great interior, busy restaurant however on this occasion the food really let it down. We've been a few times before and always had delicious food, that's why we decided to go there for my birthday. However the food was seriously dissapointing and not worth the money paid. Bland, uninspiring food was my experience on this occasion. I am really saddened as this was my favourite restaurant but unfortunately I won't be rushing back.

we really like it here, I took my mum for Mother's Day but we came on the Saturday. unfortunately the waitress misheard my order and bought me chicken instead of steak but she quickly rectified it and didn't charge us for the steak.
