Within easy reach of Leeds Art Gallery and the Grand Theatre & Opera House, Browns Brasserie & Bar – Leeds is situated on the city’s main east to west central avenue, the Headrow, in the historic heart of the city. Next door to The Light entertainment centre, this welcoming eatery is housed in a converted building complete with wood-panelling.
Spanning from breakfast through to lunch and dinner, the Browns menu offers all-day brasserie dining. Indulgent plats du jour and Sunday roasts are staple favourites, while sumptuous European flavours include lobster tagliatelle, the wild boar & chorizo burger, or steak pie with buttered mash and broad beans. A sophisticated children’s menu at Browns offers tempting favourites with a grown-up twist.
Showcasing a penchant for cocktails, the Browns bar offers an array of classic mixes, signature concoctions and thirst-quenching mocktails, as well as fine world wines, smoothies and creamy milkshakes. Enjoy Browns’ afternoon tea and cake accompanied freshly-roasted coffee from an independent supplier, or a warming pot of loose leaf tea.

camembert Starter was a little under cooked, there was no lamb for the main. Steak pie was lovely and so was the service

The restaurant has a great atmosphere and is a beautiful venue for afternoon tea. The staff although polite and pleasant took absolutely ages to serve us and we had to get up for our bill. The afternoon tea was delicious but it felt a bit lacking of savoury items and there was not enough clotted cream for two scones let alone four. I also rang three times to amend the booking from three ppl to two but no one answered the phone.

Myself and my partner came for a special meal and we had appauling service. The food was alright but the waitress was terrible. She looked stressed out and was unfriendly. Firstly she forgot our asparagus with the main dish. We then sat with our empty main dishes for ages and an empty drink for over half an hour
