In the heart of one of London’s most vibrant areas, surrounded by theatres, galleries and shops, Browns Brasserie & Bar – Covent Garden serves a mouth-watering variety of British & European-inspired dishes. Housed in a converted building which was previously the Westminster County Court, Browns also offers pre- and post-theatre suppers.

Spanning from breakfast through to lunch and dinner, the Browns menu offers all-day brasserie dining. Indulgent plats du jour and Sunday roasts are staple favourites, while sumptuous European flavours include lobster tagliatelle, the wild boar & chorizo burger, or steak pie with buttered mash and broad beans. A sophisticated children’s menu at Browns offers tempting favourites with a grown-up twist.

Showcasing a penchant for cocktails, the Browns bar offers an array of classic mixes, signature concoctions and thirst-quenching mocktails, as well as fine world wines, smoothies and creamy milkshakes. Enjoy Browns’ afternoon tea and cake accompanied freshly-roasted coffee from an independent supplier, or a warming pot of loose leaf tea.

Browns Brasserie & Bar - Covent Garden is just a 2-minute walk from Leicester Square Tube Station.

Booked for brunch. We had hardly been there 2 minutes when the waiter came to take our order, we ordered coffee and asked for more time to choose our food. After 10 minutes we enquired about the coffee and the waiter was quite brusque in his reply that they were very busy - half the tables were empty!
The food itself was not well cooked - Eggs Royale, 1 egg runny and one hard; Scrambled Egg, overcooked. Would not return for brunch, which is a pity as have lunched here a couple of times and been happy.

Food was very diappointing: my starter was nice, my friends below average. My friends maine course looked unappetising and apparently was not great. My maincourse - fish pie - was way too big (off-puttingly so) and had garlic crumbs on it, which just does not go with fish pie!
I used to like Browns but over the last few years they have deteriorated constantly. Won't go back for a while untill I hear from truested friends that they have improved again. Shame!

Very Good. On arrival the table allocated was too small and near the door but on request we were moved without fuss to a nice larger table in a better location. Food and service very good. We do like the large booths tho' and these were unfortunately in a part of the restaurant that was not open for lunch. Had a lovely Lady Daisy cocktail as well as nice virgin cocktails. Fish in fish pie was slightly undercooked but servings were enormous!
