In the heart of one of London’s most vibrant areas, surrounded by theatres, galleries and shops, Browns Brasserie & Bar – Covent Garden serves a mouth-watering variety of British & European-inspired dishes. Housed in a converted building which was previously the Westminster County Court, Browns also offers pre- and post-theatre suppers.

Spanning from breakfast through to lunch and dinner, the Browns menu offers all-day brasserie dining. Indulgent plats du jour and Sunday roasts are staple favourites, while sumptuous European flavours include lobster tagliatelle, the wild boar & chorizo burger, or steak pie with buttered mash and broad beans. A sophisticated children’s menu at Browns offers tempting favourites with a grown-up twist.

Showcasing a penchant for cocktails, the Browns bar offers an array of classic mixes, signature concoctions and thirst-quenching mocktails, as well as fine world wines, smoothies and creamy milkshakes. Enjoy Browns’ afternoon tea and cake accompanied freshly-roasted coffee from an independent supplier, or a warming pot of loose leaf tea.

Browns Brasserie & Bar - Covent Garden is just a 2-minute walk from Leicester Square Tube Station.

Great and lively atmosphere. By the time we arrived they ran out of lobster specials which was disappointing. However, we were spoiled for choice and the food was delicious. Service was really great. Cannot fault them at all.

Very nice restaurant, friendly greeting. Enjoyed the breakfast, Avocado on toast with poached eggs and feta cheese and toasted seeds. Would have enjoyed cereal but there were a lot of nice choices. Service quick, a bit of a trek to the toilet, but would definitely visit again.

Food good, though for £17.75 the lamb dish could have included a vegetable or two. Wine list disappointing - as so often in London, you need to spend around £50 to drink even half decent wine. The description of the Rioja suggested it had received a period of ageing worthy of a Reserva, whereas it was nothing of the sort. The Sicilian red was not even typical.

For our first experience it was not what we expected. The waiters were unfriendly. We had to ask them to clear the table for us to make room for the afternoon tea as we'd had drinks beforehand. And when the afternoon tea was brought out the waiter put one of the tea pots right at the edge of the table, we had to call him back to put it in the middle of the table. We had a small round table for 5 of us hence the space was limited for lots of plates etc. When he came back he just pushed a but to the middle and looked annoyed. The good side is the lovely selection of cakes and sandwiches. Otherwise it was not a friendly experience. I understand that it was a busy Saturday, but customers always make an impression of the place through their staff. Therefore determining whether to come back to an establishment or not. They represent the company they work for.

Excellent value as we chose the 2 Course lunch menu deal, we were a party of 9 who wanted light lunch before the theatre, we had a good size table and there was a good choice on the special deal menu, food was really good, and the service was great from arrival to departure !! Would definitely go back
