In the heart of one of London’s most vibrant areas, surrounded by theatres, galleries and shops, Browns Brasserie & Bar – Covent Garden serves a mouth-watering variety of British & European-inspired dishes. Housed in a converted building which was previously the Westminster County Court, Browns also offers pre- and post-theatre suppers.

Spanning from breakfast through to lunch and dinner, the Browns menu offers all-day brasserie dining. Indulgent plats du jour and Sunday roasts are staple favourites, while sumptuous European flavours include lobster tagliatelle, the wild boar & chorizo burger, or steak pie with buttered mash and broad beans. A sophisticated children’s menu at Browns offers tempting favourites with a grown-up twist.

Showcasing a penchant for cocktails, the Browns bar offers an array of classic mixes, signature concoctions and thirst-quenching mocktails, as well as fine world wines, smoothies and creamy milkshakes. Enjoy Browns’ afternoon tea and cake accompanied freshly-roasted coffee from an independent supplier, or a warming pot of loose leaf tea.

Browns Brasserie & Bar - Covent Garden is just a 2-minute walk from Leicester Square Tube Station.

Took my daughter (16 yrs) for pre theatre supper - very busy, buzzy and noisy restaurant. We had pre-booked and were glad we did as people in front of us faced a long wait for a table (although there was a big bar area where they could have a drink whilst doing so). Staff were very courteous and friendly and efficient. The food was good - we had Devilled mushroom and asparagus/parma ham starters and BBQ rib of beef and a steak for mains. All the food was well presented and was served quickly so we had finished our meal and paid in an hour and a bit from sitting down. Not for a romantic meal out but a great place to meet friends, for teenagers etc.

The atmosphere was great. The servers were attentive but discrete. The gin and tonic accompanied afternoon tea was yummy and had wow factor.

The food and drink was fantastic with plenty to choose from. The service was also second to none.

Excellent, but we had a 25% off deal, which we had to ask for and proove. Having booked on line, then our bill should have automatically given the discount. We had to ask for another bill, and if we had not checked would not have received the promotional discount. A bit sneaky !!

Ok food, ok service, ok value I guess

Dining room is over crowded noisey & tables are too small & seats uncomfortable. Food was all fine. It portions of some dishes are very meagre (3 stems of asparagus for £3.50!!)

Waitress was very friendly & attentive. It service was a. It chaotic at times.

Nothing major wrong but overall plenty of room for improvement
