In the heart of one of London’s most vibrant areas, surrounded by theatres, galleries and shops, Browns Bar and Brasserie – Covent Garden serves a mouth-watering variety of British & European-inspired dishes. Housed in a converted building which was previously the Westminster County Court, Browns also offers pre- and post-theatre suppers.

Spanning from breakfast through to lunch and dinner, the Browns menu offers all-day brasserie dining. Indulgent plats du jour and Sunday roasts are staple favourites, while sumptuous European flavours include lobster tagliatelle, the wild boar & chorizo burger, or steak pie with buttered mash and broad beans. A sophisticated children’s menu at Browns offers tempting favourites with a grown-up twist.

Showcasing a penchant for cocktails, the Browns bar offers an array of classic mixes, signature concoctions and thirst-quenching mocktails, as well as fine world wines, smoothies and creamy milkshakes. Enjoy Browns’ afternoon tea and cake accompanied freshly-roasted coffee from an independent supplier, or a warming pot of loose leaf tea.

Browns Bar and Brasserie - Covent Garden is just a 2-minute walk from Leicester Square Tube Station.

A pre-theatre dinner. Service (by Vicky) was excellent, friendly and helpful as one of our party of 3 was a little late. The meal was very good value

We booked the pre and post theatre menu for £14 for two courses. The meal was outstanding and the waitress very helpful without being intrusive. We had requested a well lit table as my wife suffers with her eyes and we were given just that. You could not fault the food in any way, I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

I Booked a table for 10 for a reunion but 12 turned up. The member of your staff who was seating us realised that 12 could not comfortably get around this table. He then most efficiently organised another table nearby and we all sat down. As usual, the food was excellent as was the service. We all had a great time and look forward to our next visit in late January next year.

On arrival the head waiter did not speak to us and just showed us to our seats. We waited to be served and when we attracted a waiter's attention he tried to get another waiter to serve us, he did then serve us himself, after rolling his eyes, and was very rude. Our drinks came without the water we asked for and we waited quite a while for our food, even though we ordered off the pre theatre menu. We were impressed with the different waiter who brought us out food and served us after that as he was very nice and pleasant.

good food options for the pre-theatre menu. service could be improved, it was incredibly busy and it took some time in between courses. we were not able to have our dessert; we had a show to catch.

Really good Margaritas and very good service. Food was excellent and there was a good choice on the pre theatre menu. The goats cheese starter was really delicious. And the chicken pie which my friend had got rave reviews.

After spending a few hours looking for the best restaurant to visit before going to the theatre this one seemed perfect - 5 minutes walk from the theatre & a great offer of 3 meals for £25. Upon arrival we waited in the hall way, were ignored by staff for 10 minutes so we went for a drink in the bar. Finally we were seated & the menu was not the 3 for £25, I told the waitress & she went to check with her manager, she came back to tell us that offer menu had expired and made it pretty clear she didn't care, I argued that it was not our problem as we clearly booked the 3 courses for £25 & that they should discount it at the end of the meal, So we went on to order our food (which was all very nice but the main course came up about 2 seconds after finishing our starter) in between this the staff had a switch over, I could see the 2 waitresses making it completely obvious they was talking about us which I found highly unprofessional. We came to the end of our meal & asked for the bill, which did not have the discount on that we requested, I had to tell the waitress the problem (which she already new) & finally after 10 minutes and a visit from the manager we finally got the deal we booked for. So the food was nice but the staff need serious re-training or firing to start again!
