In the heart of one of London’s most vibrant areas, surrounded by theatres, galleries and shops, Browns Brasserie & Bar – Covent Garden serves a mouth-watering variety of British & European-inspired dishes. Housed in a converted building which was previously the Westminster County Court, Browns also offers pre- and post-theatre suppers.

Spanning from breakfast through to lunch and dinner, the Browns menu offers all-day brasserie dining. Indulgent plats du jour and Sunday roasts are staple favourites, while sumptuous European flavours include lobster tagliatelle, the wild boar & chorizo burger, or steak pie with buttered mash and broad beans. A sophisticated children’s menu at Browns offers tempting favourites with a grown-up twist.

Showcasing a penchant for cocktails, the Browns bar offers an array of classic mixes, signature concoctions and thirst-quenching mocktails, as well as fine world wines, smoothies and creamy milkshakes. Enjoy Browns’ afternoon tea and cake accompanied freshly-roasted coffee from an independent supplier, or a warming pot of loose leaf tea.

Browns Brasserie & Bar - Covent Garden is just a 2-minute walk from Leicester Square Tube Station.

I really enjoyed my afternoon tea experience. My only preference would have been for more savoury selectio. As a pescatarian, there was no problem with the choice.

Due to a debacle with our Cab we arrived 35 mins late, but had telephoned to let them know, they were brilliant! we had very limited time due to a theatre event, but they were so kind and helpful , getting us seated immediately, explaining to the waitress the issue and got our meal and drinks without delay, also I told them it was my Mother's 80th birthday and they even brought out a birthday cake! beautiful food, wonderful service and great atmosphere.

Greet by a gentleman, no smile feel uncomfortable but the service was great, food was delicious.

Excellent experience - good food at reasonable prices. Lovely atmosphere. Only quibble would be service - waiter was literally "run off his feet" resulting in long delay, particularly for drinks. (My husband went directly to bar and got his own (second) pint as it was quicker than waiting for table service.)

We went for afternoon tea there. It took a very long time for our food to arrive and were not offered a choice of teas, which would have been nice. Service, however, was very good.

Good range of drinks and we used the pre theatre set menu which was excellent value. Speedy service but not rushed, very friendly waiter. I would really recommend the salted caramel profiteroles as they were do delicious.
