We had afternoon tea for 4 people. Not overly impressed - a few mini sandwiches and mini cakes. Tea luke warm. Best part was a side order of chips purchased for my niece. Came to just over 60 quid for £10 worth of food. This included a service charge of over 5 quid which I wasn't expecting ??

We went to Browns Birmingham on a Sunday in March 2016 as part of my 60th celebrations. My girlfriends and I were really well looked after. Some of my friends are vegetarians and the staff were very helpful is sorting out a veggie afternoon tea for them. The waiters didn't mind taking pictures of our group for me, which was appreciated. The only downside was there was no pianist on the Sunday we went. This was disappointing as I chose Brows for that very reason. Its a great setting and so easy to get to via the local train stations.

Great Afternoon, relaxed and pleasant surroundings, friendly and helpful staff - what wasn't to like....?

I bought this as a present and pre paid for it over the phone. My guests politely went over to check it had been paid for and then were footed with a £3.60 service charge printed on a bill. Although they would have left a tip they thought this was strange and slightly rude. I suggest this isnt done in future as many of the afternoon tea will have been brought as a gift.

Overall we had a great experience and the food was good. However the lobster that I had with my gf. I don't think was worth the extra 5 pound suppliiment that we had to pay off valentines menu. Hardly any meet. And wasn't cleaned out properly. But over all the food and customer service we received was fantastic. I do have one big complaint that I hate doing at a restaurant. U charge service to the bill. I hate that if I want to leave a tip I will not have it forced apon. I felt sorry for the waiter as I would of left a bigger tip for him if you hadn't of charged that to the bill.

But again over all was a great meal thank you.
