Set against the elegant backdrop of St Martin’s Square, with a stunning view of the Bullring building, Browns Bar and Brasserie – Birmingham is the perfect place for a pre-theatre dinner. Serving delicious, European-inspired dishes and colourful cocktails, Browns boasts an outdoor terrace for sun-soaked summer dining, and a vibrant, friendly atmosphere.

Spanning from breakfast through to lunch and dinner, the Browns menu offers all-day brasserie dining. Indulgent plats du jour and Sunday roasts are staple favourites, while sumptuous European flavours include lobster tagliatelle, the wild boar & chorizo burger, or steak pie with buttered mash and broad beans. A sophisticated children’s menu at Browns offers tempting favourites with a grown-up twist.

Showcasing a penchant for cocktails, the Browns bar offers an array of classic mixes, signature concoctions and thirst-quenching mocktails, as well as fine world wines, smoothies and creamy milkshakes. Enjoy Browns’ afternoon tea and cake accompanied freshly-roasted coffee from an independent supplier, or a warming pot of loose leaf tea.

We had a very enjoyable afternoon tea .the waiter was very efficient and helpful and the selection we were given was excellent. In fact I have already booked to go to browns in Covent Garden next month because I was so impressed

Excellent service and food, they have an extensive menu leaving you spoilt for choice but the steak and guinness pie was to die for.

Had the afternoon tea with a glass of Rose wine. Wonderful food and a great atmosphere due to the piano player. Staff were very courteous and welcoming. They were polite and checked at every opportunity that all was okay. As this was for our wedding anniversary the staff, delicious food and ambience of Browns
    made it extra special.

A nice modern restaurant in a good location.Arrived at 12:30ish and the restaurant was fairly quiet with just a few diners,we were offered a choice of tables but told we could'nt sit in the window as these were for 3 or 4 people.Another couple arrived after us and asked for a window seat but were refused and left without ordering. The food was good, my wife had the chicken pie which was packed with chunks of chicken breast in a tarragon sauce whilst i had the fish pie which was very good but mainly salmon (3 prawns 1 scallop) would've been better with some white fish and less salmon.By the way a couple arrived as we were half way through our meal and sat at a 4 seat table IN THE WINDOW !!! what's that all about?

Lovely atmosphere and the staff was warm and welcoming, the only issue was that we were charged a price for a double vodka but I asked for a single I didn't complain as the waitress was very nice , this is the first time I have eaten at browns in Birmingham, and the staff take more time with you than that in Nottingham

Excellent ambience and atmosphere, attentive service and outstanding food. Thank you.
Only small downside was that the cellar had run out if Malbec. Disappointing because it would have complemented my steak perfectly. Had an average glass of Rioja instead. You should never run out if one if your advertised wines.
That said, the food was amazing.
