Close to the River Avon, right in the centre of the city, Browns Brasserie & Bar – Bath serves delicious dishes and colourful cocktails in a lively, friendly atmosphere. Housed in a building which was previously a magistrates’ court and a police station, it boasts entrance doors large enough for a horse-drawn carriage, and a mezzanine floor with gorgeous city views.

Spanning from breakfast through to lunch and dinner, the Browns menu offers all-day brasserie dining. Indulgent plats du jour and Sunday roasts are staple favourites, while sumptuous European flavours include lobster tagliatelle, the wild boar & chorizo burger, or steak pie with buttered mash and broad beans. A sophisticated children’s menu at Browns offers tempting favourites with a grown-up twist.

Showcasing a penchant for cocktails, the Browns bar offers an array of classic mixes, signature concoctions and thirst-quenching mocktails, as well as fine world wines, smoothies and creamy milkshakes. Enjoy Browns’ afternoon tea and cake accompanied freshly-roasted coffee from an independent supplier, or a warming pot of loose leaf tea.

Browns Brasserie & Bar Bath is just a 9-minute walk from Bath Spa Rail Station.

Met family here for lunch on the 14 October. We all had different dishes and they were able to cater for a family member who is Gluten free.....well done Browns.
Excellent meals, and deserts and we were not rushed at all very happy with the he service, happy smiley waiters and waitresses
The only complaint ...if you can call it that.....was that it was a bit noisy due to a 50th birthday party but it did not spoil the lunch for us ??

Food was very average & ok but nothing to write home about. Expected a higher standard of cooking & presentation. Restaurant service was good.

My friend and I visited Brown's Brasserie on 21/9/16.We had soup to start which was cold and had to be sent back to be warmed up again. Eventually it came back and it was Hot
Then they bought us the main course which was Fish Cakes. They were all potatoe and very pasty with a little bit of lettuce and tomato.Very poor for the money as they were £11.50 each.Definitely not impressed with the service as it was rushed

Service was excellent but everything else very poor. Food was very average, one main course was burnt. the toilets were a disgrace.
Compared to The restaurant in Oxford this was very poor and has put me off the brand, sadly.

Dining was good and we enjoyed our meals (steak for one, fish pie the other). Staff as usual were very welcoming, attentive and did everything they could to ensure we had a great visit, BUT......the state of the upstairs gents toilets was unbelievably wretched; this is what I will remember!

The afternoon tea was excellent and staff friendly and helpful. Red velvet cake was only OK but the other cakes (especially the scones) were spot on.
