The service was terrible. waited ages for our main after our starters.
Friends sitting with us ordered just a main and got their meals quicker than us.
At least the food was hotter than on past occasions and was nice to eat.and the restaurant manager or deputy tried to get our food out quicker by going into the kitchen from time to time.
    At the windmill Hastings.

We had a horrendous time on our visit for my daughters birthday meal. We waited fifty minutes for the food after chasing the order twice. when it arrived five of the nine meals were stone cold and had to be reheated which made them like cardboard. we asked for cutlery and a huge pile was just dumped on the table. when we asked to speak to the manager she didn't appear and when we asked again she had gone off shift so got the next duty manager we had no idea what was going on. he spoke to us and Christmas and promised us our already ordered puddings straight away and we still waited over half and hour for them. Totally disgusted with the attitude and service and food won't be going back.

This is plain and simple dining at its best. A straightforward menu at very affordable prices is no doubt why this place is always busy.

Added to this is a team of committed staff who always want to do their best for you - even at the busiest times.

Whilst it may never win a Michellen Star, it certainly is a place I would recommend to someone visiting the area

Carvery was delicious , although with only one option for the soup (tomato ) not everyone in our dinning party was able to enjoy this due to allergies. Kids menu was a fantastic deal . With plenty of choice :)

We had to wait a while to be seated even though I'd reserved a table. However the queue for food was quick as was the speed of our food arriving.

great because the kids can play, but the wait for food was to long, and when it coe the meat was overcooked. if it wasnt for the fact that the kids can have a play, i wouldnt consider eating there
