Sorry to say after dining frequently here since it opened a few years ago when it was super, really not very good. No champagne, no chateaubriand, only one portion of oysters , it was freezing cold, and just not welcoming at all. Not enough waiting staff , they really need a wake up call unless it is being run down to close. I noticed the menu is much smaller hardly any seafood at all. I realise it was between Xmas and New Year but we still managed to run up a bill of £140 so not cheap .

I took a group of close friends and family to Brasserie Vacherin for a special birthday - pre ordered the food with the manager and was assured of a 15% discount on the food as it was the deal at the time. Two sad tiny fillet steaks cost me £52 - neither was worth a fiver. The souffle was about an inch thick and still served up - shame on the 'chef'. One of my guests send her food back as it was cold - another just managed to eat theirs out of politeness. To top it all I never received the discount (the manager back tracked when the bill arrived) and inadvertantly paid a £66 service charge. If I hadn't wanted to embarass my guests I would have complained bitterly. The food is rubbish and the cost is extortionate - £600 for the meal was a joke. If you want my advice - dont bother - I will never go there again. Brasserie Vacherin : you just lost a very good customer - for that money I expect good service, excellent food and hospitality. They are lucky to get 1 star.
