Found in the heart of Seven Dials, Brasserie Max offers all-day dining ideal for pre and post-theatre drinks and dinner. Found in the lobby of the Covent Garden Hotel, Brasserie Max offers a modern British menu weaved with subtle Asian and Mediterranean influences.

Classic dishes with a creative edge such as wild boar pappardelle and halibut risotto feature on the seasonally-changing Brasserie Max menu. There are also plenty of grill options, including yellowfin tuna. Refreshing desserts such as mandarin tart with marmalade crème fraiche offer a cleansing conclusion, while those undecided can sample a selection of mini desserts.

Brasserie Max in Covent Garden also offers its own speciality cocktail, a passion and ginger caipirinha, along with three different types of afternoon tea and a wholesome weekend brunch.

The edgy ambience of this London brasserie is enhanced by the inclusion of a glossy zinc bar, and plush half-moon chairs. Increasingly popular with celebrities, Max restaurant in London is a 4-minute walk from Covent Garden Tube Station.

It was lovely food but the afternoon tea took about an hour to arrive - which is not what you expect with sandwiches and cakes

Difficult to find ( no street name on the walls at the beginning of the street )
Very good salad, prices of the wines rather expensive
We had a meal before theatre and came back afterwards (that was in fact our reservation) but when we did not eat a large meal after the show staff seemed a bit uninterested while we had in fact with the pre theatre dining and the post theatre dining 3 bottles of wine with 2 persons and 2 complete meals before the show and after the show

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon tea at the Covent Garden Hotel yesterday. The staff were very attentive and the tea was perfect. The setting is beautiful. Thank you for the lovely experience.

We arrived earlier than booked. The waitress was very accommodating and sat us at the bar while she got our table ready. She explained our afternoon tea menu and gave recommendations. There was a nice range of savoury and sweet options. The only negative I would give is the choice of tea is limited unless you want to pay extra but other than that great value for money for Afternoon tea in central London.
